  1. 0830. hrm. well its 1100 here. 0400 EST... i'll keep my fingers crossed and watch the next few hours. i'd be certainly content to see an RV/RI today. would be a hell of a monday!
  2. here ya go: http://www.hvk.org/articles/1202/56.html
  3. Chief. One way to get the PDF to post is to take a screen shot (hold down Function & Print Screen). Open MS Paint and paste into. Then you can save a jpeg of whatever is on your screen. Depending on if this forum allows direct uploads, or not, you can then host the image from photobucket.com and paste the "img" code in. Long way around I know, but an option if you wanted to post it here.
  4. Easy does it, all this is the news section, whats say we keep it professional and stick to the facts.
  5. Eh, he can't do any worse a job than our ambassador it Iraq can he? I'm outta here in a month. Crossing my fingers I'll never come back to Iraq. Go RV!
  6. Same here. No way in Hell I'll spend another birthday here. 2 was enough. GO RV! Paramedic school aint paying for itself!
  7. i am out processing for R&R tomorrow, so i will try and make it down to have my Eagle Cash card fixed, as well as stopping by the iraqi bank if theyre still open when i come back that way. since i am new to the dinar, specifically, which notes/coins ought i inquire about?
  8. Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I didn't make it to the bank today, but I will be running errands this coming Wednesday for my vacation starting this weekend, including military finance. If they are open, I'll see what I can find out at the Iraqi bank as well. You all would know more than I. Anything particular I should ask/ look for?
  9. thanks for the warm welcome, all. much appreciated. even though i'm not a soldier, it is an honor to serve those who put their necks on the line everyday. i know chief feels the same way. i have immense respect for thier sacrifice.
  10. hello all, new to the board and the community. i am one of Chief V's converts here in the desert, having worked for him off and on for the last 2 years as a firefighter. his enthusiasm and research convinced all of us at our current fire station to invest before we missed out on an incredible opportunity. though i had always been a little skeptical, i could tell by his conviction, i had better get in on this while there was still time. we have a new, small iraqi bank that we've seen spring up here on our particular camp, and i'm hoping to make it down there soon to find out if they indeed have the smaller denominations. i may not be able to give a lot of strong intel, as i do not have the long standing connection as my former Chief, but i'm more than happy to share anything that is brought to my attention. hope to make your aquaintance. "KO"
  11. it was like 120 F the last few days here in Baghdad. even for a local national, i can't see somebody wearing a sweater in those temps. IMHO.
