  1. Well Said! And I would like to echo these sediments as well. Any American worth their salt will have nothing but admiration and utmost respect for the Brave Men and Women of the US Armed Services. Without the sacrifices and selfless service of the HERO'S - the world would be a much different place. I give thanks to God every day for all those who are serving and ask that he protect each and every one of you until you can return safely to your loved ones, family, and friends. God Bless you and God Bless America! Oh - and BTW - GO RV!
  2. Vizioiraq - I was able to open up this document. What are you trying to point out with this info? I see that the banking sector reform was begun in Aug of 09 and scheduled to end in '13. Is that what you felt was significant from this info? Just curious.... Thanks for the post!
  3. From this report - it shows that significant progress has been made in this crucial area of the financial sector. Any and all news like this is just fuel for the fire to make the changes required to continue the countries progress toward a free market economy. GO RV!
  4. cgbrown - don't forget to add in the 20% to end up at $3.84 per frank26! We can only HOPE that this is the way it will happen..... Phoenix - I REALLY LIKE THAT! Thanks for all that you do and share with all of us.
  5. Thanks Viper51 for keeping the those of us at DV informed and up to date. Appreciate all that you do and all that you share. Be safe and God Bless You and Your Family.
  6. Phoenix / Scooter / Maynard 57 / and all others that posted - thanks so much for a very insightful post and numerous thoughtful comments. I can only speak for myself - but I am sure that most if not all readers of this thread have learned a great deal about this speculation / investment that we have all seen fit to be a part of. Please continue to post your insights and information as it is some of the best on this site. Thanks again & GO RV!!!
  7. Scooter - thanks for sharing your story. I notice that you are a member of the VIP group here on DV. I have been contemplating becoming a VIP member as well. I only asked one other member and they felt that the VIP was a worthwhile investment for them. I value your opinion and insight a great deal and would like to get your input as to the value that the VIP membership provides in relation to costs. Thanks in advance for your response and as always - thanks for all of the research and insight that you share with the whole DV family.
  8. I agree. Adam, Sonny1, Scooter, GroveGal, and others are just GONE! Maybe it is the calm before the storm? We can only hope......
  9. What was the reason for his banishment? Thanks in advance for your response....
  10. Thank you for your service in the US Military. May God Bless you and your family.
  11. BANE - This was TOO FUNNY! I actually started laughing out loud in my office - folks think I am CRAZY! I love it - the old "Take One For The Team" battle cry! Go for it soldier!
  12. I agree. I notice that you are a member of the VIP - I have been thinking about joining myself. Do you think that it is worth it? Also - how much does it cost? I wasn't able to find anything about the membership costs and obligations on the website when I clicked on the link above. Thanks for your help. BTW: OH - IO
  13. mrparrott - everyone needs to remember - I have NEVER seen a country TAX it's way to prosperity! So I agree with your sentiments - removing these tax incentives during this difficult time is the wrong thing to do. JMHO mrparrott - I couldn't agree with your sentiments more. What needs to be realized is that everyone is for sharing the wealth - until it is THEIR wealth that needs to be shared! As long as the money is coming from someone else - then it is all good - but try to take it from them - NO WAY JOSE!
  14. Unfortunately - I don't think that this is the change that we are all looking for....
  15. I agree with you Scooby Doo - but if you look at his original post - RV was never mentioned - just a 9 day countdown. So technically speaking - he wasn't predicting the RV...
  16. Not sure if this is what everyone is looking for - but this legislative summary talks about foreign tax loopholes - both individual and corporate - so I thought this might be what everyone is talking about..... HR 4213 - The American Jobs & Closing Tax Loopholes Act of 2010.pdf
  17. I'm with you Fishman - what in the world is PMU? Anyone care to clarify this for someone like myself who has NO earthly idea what that stands for.....
  18. Too Funny! Are you saying that the blind (at least in one eye) are leading the blind here?
  19. Quad - couldn't agree with you more. Scooter puts out SOOO much great information that is backed up by research and published papers & he spends extensive amounts of time researching and presenting it to all of us on DV - that he should NEVER get bashed for spending time just chatting with the members....
  20. Ron - I enjoy all of your posts and really appreciate all of the work that you do to keep us informed - but this sounds more like a drug deal instead of an event of historic proportions! Just my opinion. Go RV God Bless
  21. I can only aspire to be as eloquent as Barboza - but I want to echo his sentiments! Every time I come to the DV site - I am looking for your posts because they have the most "meat" of anything regarding our speculative investment. Although just a simple thank you doesn't seem to be sufficient for all of the work that you do and so graciously share with all of us - I truly appreciate your sharing the wisdom and insight that only you seem to be able to bring to this entire situation. Thank you again for all of your hard work - and DITTO what Barboza said! God Bless You All!
  22. Pourit - I am not a tax adviser and don't claim to be an expert - but I have worked this angle and thought I would share my experience. I did it a little differently then you describe above. My understanding is to truly say that your dinar was within your ROTH IRA - you had to make the purchase with funds from your ROTH. The only way to do that is to utilize a self-directed IRA where you have MUCH more control over the funds. The only issue with that is - because the dinar is not traded on the forex - there is no "organization" to my knowledge that will act as the Trustee of your account (you personally cannot have possession of the assets within your ROTH account - they must be administered through a Trustee). Since there are no "organizations" that will hold on to physical currency for you as trustee - you have to work it another angle. With the self directed IRA that I have - I AM allowed to loan money to persons who will sign a promissory note to my IRA. I have found a very good and trusted friend / family member (someone who is not a beneficiary of these assets if you were to die) who will act as trustee and the note that I have with them gives them rights to 10% of the proceeds of the investment and the remainder is deposited into my ROTH. Using this vehicle - I am not in possession of the actual asset (the hard currency - dinar) - so I am not in violation of the IRS rules that govern the Roth IRA - and I have a contractual agreement with the person who has the note so that I get the majority of the appreciation on the agreed upon investment (the dinar) So they get a nice chunk of money for holding on to the currency as a trustee and you get the benefits of tax free appreciation through your ROTH IRA. Hope this info is helpful.
