  1. Has anyone asked Ali if he will still send out his email alerts? I know it's been a couple years as the rate has stone walled on us, but will he still send out alerts? I know Adam will, but if memory serves me correct Ali also would of included his cash in addresses in the event of an RV. Just Curious, Thxs., pp

Sure I have made some questionable posts as well, but the same token, I have been here a spell as well and try to contribute in an educational manner when I can. 6. I have no idea how true this on the Information. pp Recently, there was a Reuters news article with a headline titled, 'Iraq to boost retail banking via mobiles, Internet.' Upon reading that most people would naturally assume that this is good news for the Iraq banking sector. Many people perceived this as 'huge' news and have even tried to convince others of the same. What some need to understand is that, the people with this thought process just do not fully understand the banking system as it is here in Iraq. If they did, they would not had perceived this news as 'huge'. These individuals are the same people that also claim that Iraq does not have a tradable international currency (which Iraq does). At some point in time, hopefully in the near future, it will be good for the banking system, but that's only when they they get the single payer system in place. It's one thing to have it constructed and installed, training is another. If they are lucky, they will have it completed in the banking system by the end of the year. It will take them an additional 18 months to complete the training and get acclimated to it. In case some of you are wondering how the banks in Iraq will transfer funds outside of Iraq, It will be by correspondent banking agreements. There are several banks that have correspondent banking agreements with foreign banks outside of Iraq. These Iraqi banks use the foreign banking system (SWIFT) to facilitate transactions abroad. The Iraqi bank has no single payer system that conducts the due diligence to investigate where the funds are exactly coming from. Keep in mind that there are Anti-Money Laundering Laws (AML). In Iraq the AML penalties are very harsh on the banks and on any individuals. The Iraqi banking sector is seeking ways to get away from the correspondent agreements. They want to stop criminals from funneling money, independently investigate exactly where the funds being sent or received are coming from, as well as who actually owns the money. There is a caveat in that the Iraqi Parliament must pass legislation to even use this particular payment system. The CBI is not as independent as people think, they have to get the permission of the Iraqi government on nearly every move they make. Such as, 1.) Parliaments vote on the new Iraqi dinar currency, 2.) reviewing of the CBI Report on Re-Denomination Revaluation reports, and lastly, Ministry of Finance giving the approval of banking licenses.

  13. Just remember, I have no opinion on the content. Taht you can deciede yourself. pp The Central Bank of Iraq made some changes to how it operates in reference to the banks and money changers inside Iraq. In late April, the CBI decided to impose a tax on all currency exchanges (as previously mentioned in my 5 May email newsletter). The CBI auctions experienced a downturn after imposing the tax on the banking institutions and all the currency exchange markets. The initial intentions were good; however this slowed the everyday commerce in the banking industry causing far less transactions of foreign currency exchange. CBI was attempting to force Iraqi's to not conduct foreign exchange transactions hoping to increase the Iraqi dinar value. When the CBI observed its several hundred million a day auctions plummet they made the executive decision to raise the tax limit to 50k for all foreign currency transactions. After this decision the Iraqi people ramped up the CBI auctions once again. Seeing that the CBI has appeared to reverse their initial plans, my associates are saying that there will not be an RV in the month of May 2011. Regardless of the fact that the CBI has completed the Revaluation Re-denomination report. The CBI is also still waiting for PM Nuri Maliki's request to have the report delivered to him. Unfortunately, my sources are confident an RV will not be possible this month. The dinar currency projection from the recently published CBI annual report, soon to be published internally for the ministries will also coincide with no RV (May 2011). Today, I got some additional, interesting information. The new Iraqi currency has been placed on hold. With the excuse being that with all the recent activities & transitions of the CBI bank (as well as the Iraqi government) it has just not been printed. I know this may be conflicting with what some of you have been told on some forums/blogs but this is factual & up to date information. There are no bills at this time. The printing of them is on hold. That is the end of the Newsletter, I just remove the site link pp

  16. I am amazed more Mods don't quit. Its comments like this that make them want a raise...oh wait, they do it for free. Send in your resume, I am sure there are plenty of openings. I was a mod on a different site, they paid jack as well. Please show them a little respect, otherwise with-out them the site would go to he** in a hand basket. pp
  17. I highly doubt Ali knows anything. He may be guessing like the rest of us, but if he feels his family is in jeopardy, then I would do the same, pull the plug and keep a low profile. I suspect it could be a disgruntled Investor demanding answers he may not have. There are lots of whack jobs out there you know. pp
