  1. I did notice the math on it, but was looking for any other General Letter that explained why the export amount would be 100,000 ID. So far I've come up short. So we'll go with .10 future exchange rate!
  2. http://www.sul-airport.com/allowance.php I found this from Sulaymaniyah International airport. I Can only assume it's accurate. looks like the customs goes by General Letter numbers. In particular general letter no. 5160. In the future we can keep an eye on any Amendments to this or a replacement. >Currency not exceeding ($10000 US). > Iraqi currency not exceeding (100000 ID). This is the confusing part. Any thoughts on why these two wouldn't be equal according to exchange rate?
  3. I looked at the visahq link and under contact info for Iraq. It has a website reference but it's for Iran. The link doesn't work but it makes me wonder if that policy is concerning transporting money across the Iraq/Iran border to combat counterfeiting, and that 25 is referring to 25k and 5 is referring 5k dinar. I don't not have proof of this its just a hunch but I couldn't find any information from mof.gov.iq or customs.mof.gov.iq. Best case scenario. They mean 25 and 5 dinars and we'll all be extremely wealthy soon. Lol
  4. The 1 mil has been sold. Not sure how to delete thread. Thank you
  5. I have one million for sale in cincinnati northern kentucky area. I would rather meet in person for sale. $850. 25k notes from 5/3rd
  6. I'm a little behind on these huge numbers for the budget if some doesn't mind explaining it to me. Oil income at 4.65 Million BPD at $90 doesn't seem even come close to what there talking about. I'm assuming they take in account reserves as well but 188 trillion? Thanks for the explanation in advance (if there is one)
  7. Some encouraging oil news if this hasn't already posted. http://www.eia.gov/countries/country-data.cfm?fips=IZ
  8. I guess I have to wonder how many Kuwaiti dinars were they holding to for ten years. My guess is not that much. Kuwait and Iraq are not the same. Agreed that the two are completely different but what I like most about them is that they have one thing in common. OIL! I was fortunate enough to hear about the wealth Kuwait had from some locals and some contractors in Kuwait city. It's mind blowing! (If your lucky enough to be a citizen and not just a third country national) they talked about the payments and gov't gifts for marriage of citizens. If Iraq could just get a handle on the resources they have and spread wealth fairly among it's people (I know hard to imagine at this point) they could be in great shape.
  9. and further recognizing the importance of Iraq achieving international standing equal to that which it held prior to the adoption of resolution 661 (1990), I really like that part.
  10. I agree with you completely. It doesn't make sense so ill go in myself so I can hear it.
  11. A friend of mine and I were talking about iraqs release from chpt 7 at work yesterday. After spending about a half hour on the subject he made up his mind he was going in to 5/3 today to buy more. He texted me around 330 est. this afternoon and said they told him "They are no longer selling/trading. Only currency they do not have access to. Government seized all currency from them yesterday" I did not personally call to confirm this story yet. I don't want this to be a bank story but would rather like to hear if anyone else has heard this from their bank. If anyone would like any additional information please ask and ill find out for you
