Economists Association calls to hedge in the formulation of the budget

BAGHDAD / Center Brief for the Iraqi Media Network ( IMN ) - called on the Vice President of the Association of Iraqi economists Bassem Jamil Anton,   to hedge  in the drafting of the budget for fiscal year 2015, and not to put numbers unrealistic in the door of imports and pressure operating expenses and rationalized to reduce the deficit.

 

Said Anton's ( IMN ), that he "must activate the economic program of Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, who emphasized the restructuring of state institutions, factories, and privatization." He pointed out that "privatization could represent a cure fast efficiency, with the presence of public institutions ready for privatization to create additional resources to the state, and converted from the burden of economic projects and losing to the industrial and service enterprises producing added to Iraq's imports and help reduce the budget deficit."

 

He Anton "also should work to increase the amount of oil production in the southern region of security and the search for new markets, especially in Asia."

 

The Association was established Iraqi economists in 1957, before it issued its own law in 1988, while elections held earlier this year in 2014, to return to the life of the trade union officially graduated from the tutelage of the ministerial committee supervising.

 

Anton noted that "moved the large current decline in oil prices due to the lack of budget resources to diversify productive sectors such as the industrial and actual agricultural, industrial and give a distinct role for the private sector to bear a large part of the development of economic performance."
