Mylinco
Trying to stay grounded and on course but I fear we are just pawns. So much seemingly purposeful disinformation and confusing verbage. Just wanted to share this article I found. Blessings to all, Mylinco http://theirxxxxxxar.com/2011/09/25/big-jake-time-for-a-major-reality-check/Unfortunately for all Dinarians, this is a check we do not want to receive and most certainly do not want to cash, although it appears to be unavoidable. NOTHING GETS DONE WITHOUT THE KURDS. A poster (Vic) did a very fine job of pointing out the reality of HCL and Erbil ……neither is even remotely close to being done. I don’t know about anyone else, but in my business the word “done” means completely crafted, a vote of acceptance by the required majority of the requisite governing body/bodies, signatures of acceptance by the required leadership element(s), announcement(s) as required and implementation started as per the documented processes. This is the only acceptable definition of DONE. As I stated – not even close! Want proof? Read the Reuters article from two days ago, as posted by DD. The Kurds are absolutely convinced they are about to get hosed and will not accept the currently proposed version of HCL….period, end of discussion. I wish that was the worst of it. The harshest reality we need to accept is that we are ALL being manipulated. This includes the gurus, bloggers and webmasters…..at least the ones that are honest. Scarily…it also includes the governments. The marketing of the dinar can never slow down as this is a key element of the Iraqi financial lifeblood. As a result, we get a never ending stream of recycled articles, op-ed pieces and outright lies that get passed around as new info. Never forget…they not only want you to buy the dinar but they also want you to NOT SELL the dinar. When will you KNOW the news of a pending RV is accurate? When they strongly discourage BUYING and are desperately trying to get you to SELL. The change in tone of the news will be remarkable. The fake gurus will never do that because they make money from you buying. There is good news mixed with the bad….as always. Iraq is like a brood of squabbling teenage siblings (three in this case) that are quite content (for the moment) to be coddled and taken care of (fed, housed, educated, nurtured, financially supported, etc) as they attempt to negotiate the mine field of governmental puberty. They are deeply conflicted because they desperately want full independence but they also realize they are not truly ready and it intimidates them. Yes, there are the standard family fights and normal temper tantrums and screams of “I can’t wait until I am an adult”, but as with all teens there is the harsh realization that they are on the cusp of readiness but still have a ways to go. So they remain impatiently content under the protection of their virtual family (UN, UST, IMF, etc) while they learn how to negotiate governmental adulthood (of the “free” variety) without tearing apart the family. They are making progress. It is slow, painfully so in most cases, but they are farther along than this time last year….if you believe the articles being published. One parting thought – the only true indicator of an RV is that the availability of dinars (especially the 000 notes) will dry up. Don’t believe any RV proclamations, the bank stories or the supplier-shortage stories. When have they ever been accurate? Not once. Call the suppliers regarding availability. If they say “no problem”, then there is no RV – it truly is that simple. Let the suppliers bear the brunt of all the silly inquiries. As the availability dries up, the price will rise naturally. Supply and demand baby! My date projection – 2013……after the GOP takes over the White House. Republicans created the plan and they want to take credit for the recovery it helps to fuel. It is a dangerous game of roulette they are playing – hoping the ME doesn’t flame up – but the stakes are big enough to risk it. A balanced budget (somewhat) and GOP power for 20 years or more is worth the risk. My rate projection – way more than we paid. 5

Padrev
Nice balanced piece there, my friend. Not the 'overnight miracle' many of the preachers are slinging about, but good sense nonetheless. Stay on and stay strong.
