Qaeda threatens to attack during Iraq polls

Leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq, Abu Omar Al Baghdadi, threatened to carried out attacks during Parliamentary elections.

Al Baghdadi warned in an audio recording Friday to stop Iraqi parliamentary elections by "military means," the SITE monitoring service said.

He condemned the March 7 elections as a political crime plotted by Shiites, the SITE added.

"We have decided to prevent the elections by all legitimate means possible, primarily by military means," the service quoted him as saying.

It's the same old story, just a different day. There are two social classes of people in Iraq, and for the most part, they hate each other, bickering and fighting constantly. There are going to be threats all the way through this process, but some type of vote will take place and someone will get elected. And after the election, there will still be threats and maybe even some action... but they are moving in the right direction.

No surprise here, proceed with the election, and while your at it RV, best time to make announcement. There will always be those who will be against the election, this is expected.

I'm not surprised... Big Money is involved here...so the leaders like Abu Omar Al Baghdadi will resort to any and all means...He doesn't care about the people or the country.

If they RV before the election, it will not thwart this but will go along way to take the wind from their (terrorist) sails.
