Dalite
By June 22, the CBI, through the words of Saleh had already informed the people that the Government denied plans to address inflation that year. A subsequent revamp of the plan was represented in August, and still is being stonewalled by Maliki. Maliki has no interest in weakening his power base by doing anything to remove the Iraqi population from poverty. Shabibi indicated that it is the Central Bank's decision and responsibility to restructure the currency. He even hinted at this during his April address in New York this year . Every article has the job and position of the CBI included; usually in the last paragraph. Sides are being drawn, and this is going to show who has the juice when it comes to monetary decisions within Iraq. Shabibi is facing lack of security, and rising inflation. He has indicated control of inflation and security within Iraq are required to make any change in the currency structure. There is a sense of urgency coming out of Iraq, one usually reserved for planning the next parliament vacation. How is Maliki going to handle a challenge from a very visible and internationally recognized entity? Sorry Maliki, this one may be hard to kill.
