Man this whole democracy thing is going to blow up in our face because they insist on not working with each other and that could be by design to stick it to us so I am not going to pick sides; it takes two to tango...

Call in the CIA and fix this...

I agree we (the USA) started this whole mess.

Thinking we could turn a 2000 year fued between tribes into a democracy.

We have controlled all their income from oil and gas since we occupied the place.

You think we would have had a plan to put someone there directing this dog and pony show.

Bringing 3 different entities together that historicly do not get along without some mediater there to slap them around and keep them focused is just wrong.

We should have given them a blueprint (Rosetta Stone) 3 easy steps to Democracy kind of thing.

With a yhe personel to teach them how.We do it when we sell rocket launchers. Why not when we sell Democracy.

Frankly, and I know this sounds callous, but they can tear each others hair out after the RV. I do not understand how an entire nation of people who really want and need some basic services can ditz around with such peculiar leaders and not consider hiring someone to shoot them in the head when they come out of the bathroom. I just want, at this point, a return on my investment.

Iraq Daawa Party to file lawsuit against Allawi

Saturday, June 11, 2011 11:51 GMT

Islamic Daawa Party led by Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki announced on Saturday that it will file a lawsuit against Iraqiya leader Iyad Allawi for pointing out falsified accusations to the party leaders and members.

A statement by Al Daawa Party which Alsumarianews got a copy of reads the following: “Daawa Party leadership will file a lawsuit on Saturday against Iraqiya leader Iyad Allawi for pointing out falsified accusations to the party leaders and members”.

Iraqiya leader Iyad Allawi rebuked Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki on Friday which he believes is supported by Iran. Allawi warned against the new policy of repression and dictatorship.

Iraqiya stated on Friday that holding the photo of its leader next to a photo of a terrorist at Tahrir Square protest is meant to politically harm Allawi.

Iraqiya party called on all political blocs to realize the present situation in Iraq and its impact on the country’s future.

The slogans voiced by the followers of Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki during Friday’s demonstration recalls the time of 2006 and 2007, Iraqiya said noting that the return of the organized crime during the 100 day deadline is an indicator of security deterioration.

Hundreds of Baghdad residents rallied in Al Tahrir Square on Friday calling for the dismissal of Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki’s government and urging constitutional amendments.

Al Tahrir Square was divided into protests against the government and demonstrations including a number of tribes in support to the government, Alsumarianews reporter said.

Government supporters tore the picture of Iraqiya leader Iyad Allawi and throw their shoes at it.

These protests came at the end of the 100 day deadline set by Prime Minister Nuri Al Maliki to improve the Cabinet ministries’ performance and upgrade services in the country.
