Kenyan-born US Senate hopeful, Barrack Obama, appeared set to take over the Illinois Senate seat after his main rival, Jack Ryan, dropped out of the race on Friday night amid a furor over lurid sex club allegations.

The allegations that horrified fellow Republicans and caused his once-promising candidacy to implode in four short days have given Obama a clear lead as Republicans struggled to fetch an alternative.

msm2137--the last 8 years under the careful watch of the former admin. allowed the banking industry--the Enron's etc. where many of the employees lost their life savings/investments along with other Wallstreet institutions screw thousands of Americans out of their nest eggs---yes, this is fact and under that administration, it was allowed to go on and on. I know, I'm one of those individuals that lost plenty. If anything can come out of this that would be positive for Bush, would be that the dinar RV's but until that happens, it is difficult to look back. First of all you didn't here me say that I think Bush did an outstanding job. Turn off your television and do some true research and you fill find that Bush will go down in history as a favorable president, he didn't start (in my opinion) destroying our country until his last year in office. I am a business man who graduated highschool without being able to read or write. Thank you public school in New Orleans, LA. I have worked myself to death over the past 23 years my family was the poorest of all in the neighborhood I lived in and I come from nothing. Never have I received government aid in anything, never have I collected unemployment, never have I asked some for pity or anything else I did what I do and I worked. This costed me my first marriage plus other things I don't care to go into. I now, by the grace of God, own three business valued over 10 mil, I own over 140 rental houses, and I'm tired of busting my but to pay for others. Take it or leave it. I speak from experiance I deal with low income housing, I see how people abuse the system, you don't because, if you did you wouldn't defend this socialist system. Anyone can suceed if they want and the key word is WANT. support him and you will lose two thirds of what you make off of this investment and if you lose it all you will be told you shouldn't have tried to do anything without the governments support. I admire your story, but you are not putting my post together, Breton Woods, and Keynesian Economics, his policies, Bushes policies, Clintons policies, they are all the same, they are expansionist monetary policies that are the cause of our problems, you are talking micro econ, and I am talking macro which runs micro. Under Regan we expanded under the Star Wars project and cheap credit, retracted under Bush Sr., expanded even bigger under Clinton and the Tech Bubble, retracted at the end of his term and into Bush Jr, which was a false credit bubble which almost brought down the whole World economy since the banks are all connected. Now they have a choice to expand even bigger and keep it going, or let it retract and go back to real money that is restricted in supply under a gold like standard to maintaing the bubbles from getting too big or the bursts from getting too severe. So although I admire your work, your critisism of Obama in point is too limited, you need to critisize what is driving our economy, funny money. I do not support the direction we are headed, we are off track both on foreign and domestic policy right now. Bush had to deal with 911 and the war and still didn't put our country in the debt Obama put us in in the first 30 days of taking office. I am upset 100% in our direction for a while, seeing families all around me falling apart over the lose their jobs, lose their houses, loss of health care,it's not right. As you read in my post that I am not educated therefore; any answer I have will be from a normal Joe out there making a living. What BHO is doing is trying to get the government to create jobs which ahs never worked and will not this time. These job eventually go away because there is no real DEMAND for them. Kenesian economic, basic supply and demand. If there is real demand, the free market will create the product and company and therefore jobs to meet that demand and they will be more longterm than the gov created jobs.

Now, The last 2 years of the Bush admin, the DNC had full control of Congress. This is when Republics warned them about the condition on Fannie and Freddie and the pending disaster. This is all on video and on the web for you to find. The DNC controlled congress ignored the warnings. Bernanke himself was warned by a recognized world expert on economics about Derivatives and the danger we face. He ignored her warnings and then went about ruining her name and career. The DNC, liberals want large government...look around...how many jobs have been added to the gov since BHO took office? The fed budget grew 84% not including the stimulus package. All of this while industry shed jobs and cut budgets.

BHO saved companies from going out of business but we will all pay the price for this. Kenesian economics work when allowed to operate without interference. If GM had gone out of business it is because there was not enough demand for their products or bad management. Either way, the other auto manufacturers would have picked up any demand left in the market and would have picked up the jobs needed to fill that demand. If there is not enough demand then we did not need GM in the market.

I can go on for hours on this. Liberalism and socialism and their big government and wealth distribution policies have never worked anywhere in the world and they are NOT what AMERICANS want. Let supply and demand do what they do and get government out of the way. We are losing job overseas not because of Bush but because of BIG GOVERNMENT sticking their hand in every business pocket they can find. Too many taxes, fees and regulations that cause business to seek out places that have a more friendly environment that allows them to be competitive.

When you tax a business more, it is a tax on ALL OF US because a business simply passes it on to you.

Stop drinking any parties kool-aid and start investigating, learning and making your own decisions based on what is real.
