Talabani said in a speech he delivered on the occasion of the international resolution to lift part of International sanctions on Iraq, " Our people received with great satisfaction and great international resolution To lift the economic sanctions, " which had been imposed on Iraq in the era of the Saddami. He clarified that this resolution explicit recognition of the international community work done by The Iraqi people during the past seven years on the road to the elimination of the consequences of heavy legacy "That left the system of tyranny". He said the new Iraqi state on the road Cooperation with the international community in order to establish the values of democracy and human rights and cooperation Peaceful construction with neighbouring countries and other countries of the world on the basis of equality and equity Mutual interest. Talabani expressed his thanks to the United Nations and its secretary-general that Ban Ki-moon and the member states in the Security Council, which voted in favour of the resolution and has contributed to a Airspace for praising the efforts made by the United States of America, Is " Wafaa Covenants contained in the agreements concluded between the Iraq".
