Wednesday, October 20th 2010 1:05 PM

Baghdad, Oct. 20 (AKnews) – An official member in State of Law Coalition (SLC) stated on Wednesday that the outgoing Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki didn't sign any agreements with any of the countries that he visited during his recent regional tour.

Ali al-Allak SLC member, told AKnews that Maliki's visits came to strengthen the political and economic relations between Iraq and other countries. Maliki assured that that next government will be a national partnership government with the participation of all Iraqi parties.

"Al-Maliki does not need the approval of these countries in order to form the next government. The decision to form the government is an internal issue that no country can interfere with." Said Allak.

On oct. 13th Maliki started a regional tour where he visited Iran, Jordan. Syria, and Egypt, he will be visiting Turkey within the coming days.

Observers say that Maliki’s round in the Arab and regional States aims to "assure" them, if he became the prime minister for a second term

Yet, his coalition has denied that saying, the visits are unrelated to the government formation crisis.
