I have tried both chrome and mozilla firefox. Plus internet explorer. Also three different computers, Home, Laptop and work with no success

I get the invalid user name or password error after the message "Authenticating via HTTP"

All looks well up to that point with Java loaded

Is there something else like a switch that needs to be altered?

It is not the type of browser that you use ... either IE or Firefox.

The plug in "JAVA" has been the issue all along.

If you uninstall JAVA and then get the latest download from: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Then check to see if the new plug in was installed and activated under your browser. Tools -> add-ons

You should be fine.

I had the same problem awhile back.

My Firefox has the following.

Java Console version 6.0.21

Java Quick Starter 1.0

Also you might start the Java Console and watch what is actually happening. Tools ->Java Console
