MED says to (09:31:30):

THEY CAN'T ANNOUNCE THE PM

EVEN WHEN THEY CONVENE

FIRST THE POR HAS TO BE ELECTED

thepainman says:right

THEN THE POP AND TWO VICE DEPUTIES THEN HAVE TO BE ELECTED

THEN THE POR HAS 14 DAYS TO ANNOUNCE WHO WILL "ATTEMPT TO FORM" FIRST

IT IS NOT GUARANTEED

AND IF THE VIRTUE AND ISLAMIC PARTIES TODAY

WITHDRAW FROM THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE

IT PUTS THEM DEEPER IN THE WHOLE

NOW THE KURDS ARE LOOKING AT WHETHER THEY WILL BACK MALIKI OR NOT

BUT THEY WANT ALLOT

AND SOME OF IT

MALIKI CANNOT GIVE

BECAUSE THEY ARE CONSTITUTIONAL ISSUES

THAT ONLY PARLIAMENT HAS THE RIGHT TO APPROVE

thepainman says:did you ever find out how many seats virtue had?

NO

thepainman says:couple of us thought 17 but were having trouble finding it

THAT IS WHAT BF SAID

17

butterfly says:14 actually, my bad

butterfly says: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Iraqi_Alliance

SO THEY WILL GAIN 31 SEATS

IF THE TWO PARTIES LEAVE

Got-UR-back dino says:Being reported that M lacks 30 seats

GOOD

SO HE MUST HAVE LOST THEM

BECAUSE HE ONLY WAS 4 BEFORE

HE NEEDED 163

AND HAD 159

BUT NOW MUST HAVE 133

SO THE VIRTUE AND ISLAMIC PARTIES MUST HAVE 26 TOTAL SEATS

WHAT IS FUNNY HERE

IS THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC

HAS TO HAVE 2/3 OF PARLIAMENT FOR VOTES

BUT THE PM WHO HAS THE MOST POWER

ONLY NEEDS AN ABSOLUTE MAJORITY

SOMETHING DOESN'T MAKE SENSE

YES

lawlesslucy says:as long as they followed the constitution

THEY DIDN'T WANT TO COMMIT TILL THEN

AND ACTUALLY THEY DON'T EVEN CARE WHO IS PM

Got-UR-back dino says:some articles have said they may join the new alliance but wating for the Supreme C and Virtue to leave INA

THEY HAVE THEIR OWN PRESIDENT AND PM

YES I SAW THAT THIS MORNING

AND I BROUGHT IT UP A FEW MINUTES AGO

THAT WILL BE THE DO OR DIE HERE

ON THIS ENTIRE SITUATION

Got-UR-back dino says:always a day late and dollar short Med. you're a patient man.

IF THEY DO NOT WITHDRAW

THEN THEY JUST NEED TO LET THIS DIE

AND GO TO PARLIAMENT

OTHERWISE IT IS JUST A WASTE OF TIME

ONE THING IN THE CONSTITUTION

Got-UR-back dino says:another article that List wont boycott?

NO I NEVER SAW ONE THAT THE LIST SAID THEY WOULDN'T

THE PERSON WHO SAID HTAT

THAT

WAS NOT FROM THE LIST

THE ONLY ONES BANKING ON THE LIST NOT BOYCOTTING ARE MP'S FROM THE SLC

Got-UR-back dino says:the one by Arlington?

THE LIST SAID THEY WOULD NOT PARTICIPATE

NOT SURE

I COMMENTED ON IT YESTERDAY

THERE WERE TWO DIFFERENT OPINIONS

IN IT

NOONE KNOWS UNTIL PUSH COMES TO SHOVE

lawlesslucy says:med ustill thinkwe will still see it done in october?

THE ONLY ONES SO FAR THAT HAVE SHOWN THEY HAVE THE GONADS TO STAND FOR WHAT THEY BELIEVE IN

A GOVT

Got-UR-back dino says:They are holding a big meeting today

YES I DO

YES THEY MET LAST NIGHT

AND THE LIST GAVE THEIR SPEAL

ON WHAT THEY WANT AND ARE OFFERING

tzeman7390 says:Looks like they rejected his nomination

butterfly says:they are meeting today too it looks lke med

ONLY THE TWO BLOCS

THE VIRTUE AND ISLAMIC

WITH THE LIST

DO THEY MEET TODAY

tzeman7390 says: http://www.aknews.com/ar/aknews/4/185483/

butterfly says:tze no outside linkes please

Got-UR-back dino says:Med, correct on article on boycott...said by someone from state of law

tzeman7390 says:sorry it was the one that states they rejected Maliki

Got-UR-back dino says:news coming out of the Sat mtg

TZ DID YOU POST THAT ONE

IN THE FORUMS

IT IS GOOD

VERY GOOD

butterfly says to:i cant open links from the outside in there or i crash the chat, thats all tze, we just need everyone to post all things in the forum for everyone to read

butterfly says:thanks!

tzeman7390 says:dont know how funny enough I have the translated post copied link

butterfly says:dont want anyone missing anything

aerdrie says to:its not in english

"]FOLKS HATE TO SOUND NEGATIVE HERE, BUT IMO WE ARE STILL A LONG WAYS OFF FROM SEEING A RV.. HOPE FULLY SOMETIMES NEXT YEAR.:lol: [/b]

IMO if Iraq wants to avoid serious penalties for defaulting on contractual debts that they owe then they will have it done before 2011. Many other positive signs do exist that they are heading in the direction. GOI may take to 2011 but an rv can happen without the GOI in place. Be strong, and have faith. GO RV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's what I am thinking also. These dopes will find a way to screw it up just because they can. Oh well. I waited almost 4 years I can wait some more.

Mal Aqrawi, a political analyst based in the Kurdish city of Irbil, said there are some splits among Kurds over whether to back al-Maliki's bloc, but it appears that he will eventually get the Kurdish nod.

"The Kurds will back al-Maliki because he has the most power in parliament and it is the most logical choice," he said.

Murphy reported from Baghdad. Associated Press Writer Sinan Salaheddin in Baghdad contributed to this report.
