He said the representative of the secretary-general of the United Nations in Iraq, ميلكرت that the international organization is at the side of the Iraqi people and is ready to provide support to democracy to serve all. ميلكرت Said in a message of him on the occasion of the International Day of democracy that the legislative elections that were held in March, last March, had served as the opportunity of a lifetime for all Iraqis to determine their fate and the fate of their nation.

The General Assembly, the United Nations has identified in the year 2007 on the fifteenth of September to celebrate the International Day for Democracy.

Don't you think though that we shoiuld remember the Roots of Democracy in our civilization. I mean give credit where it is due. It opened the door to Freedom and Democracy around the globe. Where did it begin here.
