Hamid Mutlaq: It takes months to form government because self-seeking interests rather than public interests

11/09/2010 12:35:00

Baghdad (NINA) – Iraqiya slate’s official, Hamid al-Mutlaq expects that forming a government will take more months because of, what he calls ‘self-seeking interests’.

Mutlaq told NINA on Saturday, Sep. 11, “When self-seeking interests come at the expense of public interests, then it will take many more months to form a government and this will complicate the crisis the country is going through.”

He added, “Iraqiya does not stand in the way of any agreement that will be in the country’s interest; but we reserve our legal and constitutional right to form a government in compliance with the Iraqis’ wish, anything other than this will be out of the Iraqis’ wish.”

Mutlaq pointed out that Iraqiya does not give any consideration to anything other that the Iraqis’ interests and we seek to change their present painful situation, he concluded. / End.

Agreed they've had PLENTY of time to form a government... I just wish the U.N. would do as they have been threatening to do and step in and give them a kick in the butt already.

P.S. Guys, you don't have to Quote the OP (Original poster). On a messaging board it's a known fact that you're responding to the OP and not someone else in the thread without having to give them a quote.
