There's also (or at least used to) a big US Army / Navy  base in Naples ( it's a port city) in the Bagnoli area....AFI (Allied Forces in Italy) base if I'm not mistaken.....

Winter song ....Love this one....Great atmosphere....To me one of the best tracks on album

Dawn in the neighborhoods

 

Voice wants to re-create the feel  of one of the many street market vendors namely in Naples where st. markets do take place every day and  in most  city neighborhoods starting very early in the morning (at dawn more or less)....

 

The guy keeps saying " Mille lire" (one thousand Liras)...That was of course before the Euro...1,000 Liras would be  roughly  1.5 bucks back then....

 

Actually it's Renato Marengo's voice, a music journalist ( from Naples himself so he has just the right accent...), a friend of Toni and also the album producer
