He used to live for  some time in Italy in the 70's....In  beautiful Positano, on the Amalfi coast ( not too far from Naples).....He speaks (or used to, at least) perfect Italian...I heard a couple of interviews he released on the radio a long time ago...Once (while vacationing down there in the late 70's) I even met  an Italian  who used to know him well....

 

I don't think he got the success he deserved...
