{Politics: Al Furat News} The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, received today, Monday, the delegation of Transparency International, in the presence of the ambassadors of the European Union and Germany to Iraq.

A statement from the Prime Minister's Office, of which {Euphrates News} received a copy, stated that "during the meeting, they reviewed the government's efforts in the field of combating financial and administrative corruption, and the practical steps taken on this path."

During the meeting, the Prime Minister affirmed "the government's determination to combat corruption, which is one of the most important priorities of the government program."

Al-Sudani also renewed "Iraq's desire to benefit from international experiences and the expertise of the Transparency Organization in combating corruption."

For its part, the organization's delegation affirmed its support for the Iraqi efforts to develop anti-corruption mechanisms, in order to ensure progress in this regard.

The delegation also expressed its sense of the real will of the Iraqi government to combat corruption, which prompted the delegation to visit Iraq.

The meeting witnessed mutual affirmation that fighting corruption is a joint responsibility that requires the cooperation of civil society institutions and independent bodies, as well as the judiciary and other authorities.

Shafaq News / Transparency International announced, on Monday, its support for the Iraqi government's efforts to develop anti-corruption mechanisms.

 

This came during a visit by a delegation from the organization to the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani, in the presence of the ambassadors of the European Union and Germany to Iraq, according to a statement received by Shafaq News Agency.

 

 

During the meeting, they reviewed the government's efforts in combating financial and administrative corruption, and the practical steps taken in this regard.

 

During the meeting, the Prime Minister affirmed, "The government's determination to combat corruption, which is one of the most important priorities of the government program."

 

Al-Sudani also renewed Iraq's desire to benefit from international experiences and the expertise of the Transparency Organization in combating corruption.

A statement from his office stated, "The Prime Minister received the delegation of Transparency International, in the presence of the ambassadors of the European Union and Germany to Iraq. During the meeting, they reviewed the government's efforts in the field of combating financial and administrative corruption, and the practical steps taken on this path."

He added, "The meeting also witnessed a mutual affirmation that fighting corruption is a joint responsibility that requires the cooperation of civil society institutions and independent bodies, as well as the judiciary and other authorities."

He added, "Al-Sudani listened to a comprehensive presentation of the latest developments in the work of the Italian consulting company in the Dry Canal Project (Development Road)."

Al-Sudani stressed, according to the statement, the importance of proceeding with this vital project, and the promising opportunity it represents for Iraq's economic future.
