Good Evening DV, here's a few opinions & comments that might be of interest to you. Remember, no one really  knows what will happen, or when. They're simply stating their opinions based on what  they perceive to be happening in Iraq. RON

 

 

*** Pimpy *** Article: "Security Council Sanctions Committee concerning Iraq Removes One Entity from It's Sanction List"   Rafidain Bank has the sanctions against it have been removed.  This is good news.  This means that they obviously have behaved themselves...all is good. 

 

*** Mnt Goat *** Article: "IT WILL CREATE THOUSANDS OF JOBS AS IRAQ ASPIRES TO BE THE “MAIN STOP” ON THE SILK ROAD"   the “silk road” is not going to happen with a currency that is almost worthless.

 

*** Pimpy   There's an assumption that the budget has been passed.  I'm not sure that's the case because it says that it's been received.  Article:  "Parliamentary Finance receive the budget and reassures employees about salaries".  My guess is that [the budget is not passed] because the agreement between Erbil and Baghdad has not been finalized.  Although the part that matters for the budget to go forward has been agreed upon...
