Al-Jubouri said, "The representation of women in the current government is less than it was in previous governments," stressing that "women were represented by 6 ministries in the 2005 government, then the number decreased to 4 ministries and then two ministries, and finally one ministry in the governments of Adel Abdul-Mahdi and Al-Kazemi."
She added: "In the current government, the Women’s Committee called for an official letter addressed to the Prime Minister before voting on his government, to restore the Ministry of Women, and it does not cost him only the salary of the Minister, and also that the woman be represented in the government with at least a third of its members," noting that every The prime ministers said that governments are consensus between political blocs based on the nominations of these blocs.
Al-Jubouri pointed out that "inserting women in the decision-making position is not present in the thinking of political blocs, and it is not one of their priorities, stressing that male thought marginalized women, despite proving their worth in leadership, activity and interrogation in Parliament."
She stressed that "women are no less efficient than men, and the constitution has guaranteed them equality and equal opportunities, noting that Iraqi women have proven their worth in leadership, starting from their family, and up to proving their worth in the House of Representatives, the Judiciary and the Ministry of Interior, as well as the proportion of women's issues in a body Integrity is almost nonexistent. "
She revealed that "we have previously asked that there be a prime minister to run the power at the present time," describing the existence of a quota for women in Parliament, and the absence of this in the government as "a tragedy."
Regarding work in the context of female representation in the past stages, Al-Jubouri mentioned that "we worked in previous and current parliamentary sessions to find a quota for women in the executive branch similar to the legislative authority, but unfortunately this issue needs a constitutional amendment, or add a related paragraph to the internal system of the council Ministers, "referring to the submission of proposals in this regard, but was rejected.
And if we are not able to amend the constitution to place a quota for women in the executive branch, we must amend the internal system of the cabinet, and this also requires the presence of women in the cabinet in order to adopt the issue. Ended 29 / A 43
