Egypt, Iraq discuss vistas of economic cooperation

CAIRO - Investment Minister Mahmoud Mohieldin discussed with Iraqi officials vistas of economic cooperation.

Available opportunities for investment and technical cooperation were also discussed during the meeting between Mohieldin and Sami Ra'ouf al-Araji, the head of the Iraqi National Investment Commission and Iraqi Ambassador Nezar Isa.

The meeting also took up the outcome of contacts on carrying out reconstruction projects in Iraq.

Mohieldin agreed with Iraqi officials on having Iraq participating in the 4th conference on investment in Greater Cairo governorates.

Meanwhile, the Iraqi delegation made reference to the success of a three-phase program organized by the Egyptian Investment Ministry for rehabilitation and administrative development of Iraqi cadres.

A fourth phase is underway to train 40 Iraqis in the investment, insurance and stock sectors.
