Obama Admin’s Reason For Releasing Bin Laden Bodyguard From Gitmo Is The ‘Flimsiest Of Excuses’

It looks like the Bergdahl Five were just the start of a flood of releases from Guantanamo Bay. According to the New York Post, the Periodic Review Board has already cleared almost half of the remaining prisoners for release and is reviewing the cases of several more:

Desperate to empty the Guantanamo Bay prison by the end of his term, Obama quietly is giving “get out of jail free” cards for the flimsiest of excuses.
*
One al Qaeda suspect captured in Afghanistan is considered reformed because he took up yoga and read a biography of the Dalai Lama. Another is eligible for release because of his “positive attitude.”
*
The Periodic Review Board already helped clear 78 of the remaining 149 prisoners for release, documents show, and has scheduled more hearings for this summer.

One prisoner currently under consideration is Osama bin Laden’s bodyguard, Abdel Malik Wahab al Rahabi, because he wants to open a milk and honey farm. From UPI:

David Remes, representing al-Rahabi at a hearing in Arlington, Va., said the 34-year-old being held indefinitely at the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, wants to study, teach and start a farming operation called Yemen Milk and Honey Farms with other current detainees, the Miami Herald reported. Al-Rahabi also wants to spend time with the 13-year-old daughter he last saw as a baby, Remes said.

So apparently just because a deadly terrorist claims to have turned a new leaf – or comes up with a business plan – they are deemed safe enough to send back to the very places they plotted attacks that killed the American people.

But saying that they have plans to be peaceful now does not change what they are being punished for. Allowing them their freedom simply on a judgement call is risky, irresponsible and downright dangerous.

This administration doesn’t seem to realize that talk is cheap. Anyone who is being held in a maximum security prison will probably say about anything if it means their release.

Can we keep all the prisoners here in the USA and send Obama to Afghanistan permanently. Our country would be better off. What a POS he is!

Pardon my poor attempt at total contempt of the Muslim POTUS.
