Kurdistan finished drafting its own labor law for the first time in its history

The Ministry of labour and Social Affairs in Kurdistan for the first time in the history of the drafting of a special law to work in Kurdistan and submitted to Cabinet for approval and submission to the Parliament of Kurdistan.

 

According to a statement by the Ministry of labour and Social Affairs in the territory had received a copy of the Buratha Agency today that "after a number of interactive workshops to gather the largest number of proposals, views and reviews of international experts and international organizations [iLO], a draft Bill was drafted action for Kurdistan, the draft law includes 148 article, before this law was the Kurdistan region follows the law."

 

"The draft law to the Kurdistan region is important because it allows henceforth the relationship between worker and employer under the evolving economic fundamentals, this law also ensuring workers ' rights, as well as that the law guarantees a number of instructions and procedures for working for the main needs of livelihood, for example look at the price of rental housing for low-income workers and to provide support and legal basis for the workers."

 

The statement said "the draft also include legal action to protect children and penalties against any person exploiting young people's hard work, as well as the protection of working mothers in the private sector and ensure that the needs of mothers and children and to ensure that the granting of maternity leave in the private sector."
