- Shanghai: select the People's Bank of China (the central bank), the average price of the yuan against the U.S. dollar at 6.1612 on Thursday.

This is the highest average ever for the exchange rate of the Chinese currency since Beijing has taken a historic step in 2005 to allow its currency to appreciate.

Can exchange rate for the dollar / yuan to rise or fall by 1 percent on average, which determines the central bank each day.
