A TEAR TO THE EYE

          Barbara was driving her six year old son, Benjamin to his piano lesson. They were late and Barbara was beginning to think she should have cancelled it. There was always so much to do and Barbara, a night duty nurse at the local hospital had recently worked extra shifts. She was tired and the sleet storm and icy roads added to her tension. Maybe she should turn the car around, she thought and forget about this trip for now.

          Mom! Ben cried, "look" Just ahead a car had lost control on a patch of Ice. As Barbara tapped the brakes, the other car behind her spun wildly but able to stop. The car up ahead had rolled over then crashed into a telephone pole. Barbara pulled over, skidded to a stop and threw open her door. Thank goodness she was a nurse-she might be able to help those unfortunate passengers.

          The she paused, What about Ben, She couldn't take him with her, little boys shouldn't see scenes like the one she anticipated. But she questioned herself, was it safe to leave him alone, will he stay in the car, what if he is hit from behind by another car. For a brief moment Barbara considered going on her way, someone else was sure to come along, Her conscience got the best of her and she made Ben promise to stay in the car while she helped those people. I will, Mommy he said as she closed the car door and ran, slipping and slidding toward the crash site. It was worse than she'd feared. Two girls of high schoold age are in the car. One, the blonde on the passenger side was dead, killed on impact with the telephone pole, her head was split open.

          The driver however was still breathing. She was unconscious and pinned in the wreakage. Barbara qquickly applied pressure to the wound in her head while her practiced eye scanned for other injuries. A broken leg, maybe two, along with probable internal bleeding, but if help came soon she would live. A trucker pulled up and was calling for help on his cell phone. Within a matter of minutes the sound of an ambulance and police was heard. She surrendered his post to the rescure workers when they got there.

          Good job , one of the ambulance crew said, you probably saved this girls life. But as Barbara walked back to the car a feeling of saddness overwhelmed her, thinking about the family of the deceased girl, so young to loose her life. Neither she nor her family could have known that this would be the last day they would see their daughter alive. Their lives would never be the same. Oh! God why does such things happen .

          Slowly Barbara opened her car door, what should she tell Benjamin if he asked questions about those people. She got in the seat and turned to look at him and he was stairring at the crash site with a bewildered smile on his face. His big blue eyes were filled with interest in something he saw. Barbara wasn't prepared for what Benjamin was about to say....Mommy, Mommy did you see it, did you see it. See what, honey, That beautiful Angel, Mom he came down from the sky while you were running to the car and he opened the door on the other side of the car by the telephone pole and pulled that girl out, carried her in his arms and they floated up to Heaven. Barbara's eyes were filled with tears. She had always heard of such things as this but never put much thought in it until now. Her own son seen it. Barbara couldn't help but ask, did you see one on the driver's side too. Ben just shrugged, no Mommy I didn't see one there. She thought only the innocense of a child that has not been corrupted by time would see a heart warming thing such as this. Later Barbara was able to meet the families of the two girls. They expressed their gratitude for the help she provided.

          Barbara was able to give them soemthing more, Benjamin's vision of what he saw. There was no way he could have known what happened to either passenger.  Nor could he have known why the passenger side door was opened misteriously after the car had stopped. Barbara knew enough to know that the soul leaves the body upon death and what's left is the body but Ben saw the inner body leave with the soul.

          She witnessed the immovable tangled steel herself and yet Ben's sweet honest account brought consolation to a grieving family. They knew that their daughter was in Heaven and they would see her again some day. When her friend the driver heard this she broke down and cried knowing that her life could have been taken just as her childhood friend was but she also knew deep down inside she hadn't been faithful in Jesus Christ as her friend had and the Angel probably would have bypassed her. This became a testimony to her and from that day forward it inspired her to get back in church, renew her faith and do right. From that day on she was happy knowing that she would also see her friend again one day and if something unexpected ever happened again she would be ready to fly with the Angel to see her savior.

          Tragic events happen anytime day or night. We are not promised tomorrow only the minute in which you breath right now. As the above story points out these two girls got up, got ready for school, was headed for a day of learning as any other day when this happened. Neither knew that one would be taken and one would be left, but it so happened that the strong testiment of what happened turned her friend back on the right track. While it was traggic it was also a joyful time for Jesus regainned a soul headed to who knows where. We never know from one hour to the next if we will be here another day or not. This is what Jesus tries to tell us over and over for our own good. Watch for the hour will come when the soul within you will no longer live in that body and will be required by God. Even so lord Come.

Dear Heavyduty053,

Thank you so much for sharing this incredible and inspirational testimony!   My family was deeply touched by this wonderful posting ~ especially because we have had multiple supernatural events happen within our family over the years.

This is truly a powerful reminder for us to "redeem the time" (Eph. 5:16),  since we never know how many days yet remain for us.  May we use our time wisely to be a daily blessing in loving Christ and serving others, that we may also be prepared for Eternity as this young girl was.

Thanks again for sharing with us ~

Have a beautiful day,

"DinarBlessings"  :)
