  1. "Bahtman": You have to keep in mind that the money is electronic money. The treasury doesn't have to pay out all that money in cash. When you take it to exchange, no matter where you go, it will be transferred to your account by electronic transfer. The treasury doesn't have to have the physical cash, they will just add it to the deficit I guess. I hope this helps you to think some more. Read the post above mine, kind of says the same thing. God bless.
  2. Joyce: Your example makes alot of sense, if we in fact keep the Dinars to exchange for oil. That is just one side of the coin (so to speak). What confuses me is, there are those who are saying that when Iraq RVs the Dinar, the treasury will exchange the beaucoup Dinar that they have and use it to pay down the deficit. See what I mean? One side says we will exchange for usd, the other says we will hold on to it and exchange it for oil. What is confusing is that I think both arguments are coming from the same camp............. Great dialogue though, thanks.
  3. I am with you, wilecoyote, been 4 years for us also. I can't remember ever being impatient about this investment. My wife and I knew it would be a 5-10 year wait. I don't understand these newbies who want it "NOW" or its the end of their world. Nobody has any patience in today's world. ****, it could be another couple of years before this ride is really over. I am ready to wait for whenever it happens. I don't care if I have to leave it to my kids, someone will be rich, someday, off of this investment.
  4. "One compelling speculation that may relate to the value increase of the Iraqi Dinar is the actual amount of Iraqi Dinar being held by the United States Treasury Department. A significant increase in the value of the Iraqi Dinar would more than pay for cost of recent US war efforts in the Middle East and greatly alleviate the tremendous debt recently initiated by the US Government. The US Government’s current runaway spending seems to suggest that the US Treasury Department is expecting a massive windfall in the near future that will cover debt. Although this theory seems logical and despite the fact that this theory is parroted by many, this speculation can not be confirmed." Many have said that Iraq could not cover all the Dinar held by many countries if the rate was anything above $1.00. The answer to this situation has been that the U.S. and other countries have agreed not to cash in their Dinar right away but wait and use it to buy oil when needed. If this is the case, how can it help the deficit, or be the reason for out-of-control spending, or fix our worldwide recession. Which one is it going to be: Cash in and fix our country and world economies, or hold on to them until we need oil? Can't have it both ways people.
  5. Personally, I don't hear anyone talking about the other natural resources that are in Iraq, like Natural Gas (the largest reserves in the world) and Sulpher Deposits (also number 1 in the world), not to mention they used to be called "The Bread Basket of the Middle East" because of their agricultural possibilities. Along with all that, they have numerous ways for investors to make huge returns in communication, housing, medicine, automotive, etc., etc., etc...... It's not just oil that they are considering when they choose an exchange rate for their money. Ths country is about to explode with ways to invest in their economy.
  6. We paid $950.00 usd for 1,000,000 Iqd at Chase bank in Phoenix, Az. 5 years ago and they did not ask for SS#.
  7. Here is another bit of trivia: Where is the oldest civilization on earth? Mesopitamia (Iraq)
  8. Been in a safe deposit box for 5 years. Might be time to trade all my 25,000 dinar notes for small notes.
  9. I am a CPA and have never heard of this. There are so many tax shelters that people can use to drive down there capitol gains tax before it is due at the end of the year. Nobody has the right to withhold money to pay capitol gains tax. That part of the story is false. Casinos only withhold taxes if you do not have proof of your Social Security number.
  10. I was just at xe.com and the Iraqi Dinar is moving. It was at 1167.40 when I last checked. That is up from 1422.40 at the start of this morning. This could be the day, God willing.
  11. Actually people, this forum started over with a new look last November. Those of us who have been around for years had our "join dates" changed to that time. Some have Nov. 2009 start dates, and some have Dec. 2009 start dates. I don't think you will find any older than Nov. 2009. I have had my Dinar since 2006, and I too believe that patience is the real key. I didn't have any at first, but you are forced to have patience eventually (or go crazy). Alot of positive things have been happening this year. I think the RV is just around the corner.
  12. A true Christian would never even consider taking the Lord's name in vain. I will pray for you.
  13. "Dryden01" I heard that the 3.22 rate that everyone is talking about back when Saddam was in charge was a false rate. Saddam set that rate arbitrarily, and the Dinar was not traded globally back then. No other countries recognized the Iraqi Dinar as a legitimate currency at that time. I have heard this from numerous sources over the years.
  14. "Hey Dinarwolf" I used to subscribe to the same logic as you that Iraq used to be at 3.22 before the war, until I found out that the only place the Dinar was worth 3.22 was in Iraq!!! At that time, the Dinar was not accepted as a currency on the world market. Saddam was the one who set that value. It was a false value and is used alot, today, to trick people into buying Dinar. Sorry to burst your bubble. I sure did not like it when this was brought to my attention and I am not suggesting an amount for the RV, just wanted people to know the facts.
  15. What I want to know is why would I be enticed to exchange my larger bills? Are they going to be worth something or not (according to this analysis) ?
  16. Also found this: "First, BUYER BEWARE of this brand new ticker symbol and 'company': SBRV.pk -- aka Sebastian River Holdings, Inc. -- aka MEM Financial Solutions. This new ticker is the 3rd stock symbol change since July of 2004. Here's the brief history of symbol changes and consequent reverse splits that have screwed investors year after year: July 26th of 2004-- First symbol was VRMD (company name: Vision Real Estate Management and Development) which had a 400:1 reverse split and changed it's ticker symbol to MMFS resulting in a company name change (they claim it was a 'merger') to MEM Financial Solutions. April 11 of 2005-- MMFS had a 200:1 reverse split and changed their ticker symbol yet again to MFSN and their PR releases (after talk of insider stock shorting) said they received the "immediate resignation of Daniel J. Duffy". Now on April 5 of 2006-- MFSN had a 400:1 reverse split and again changed their ticker symbol from MFSN to SBRV and claim in the PR releases that they've changed their company name to Sebastian River Holdings, Inc. and -- get this -- Daniel J. Duffy is now the acting CEO. Bottom line: it's been the same company and same people reverse splitting and changing company names and CEOs around since day one all along feeding the public with bogus "forward looking" PR releases with the intent of enticing more buys, only to change company names and profiles, acquire more buys and reverse split again. I called MEM Financial Solutions today and was told that Daniel Duffy no longer works at the company. Also, i was unable to get Mark McLeod (his business partner) on the phone for further questioning and he has yet to return my calls. Note that all relevant contact info for MEM financial Solutions can be found at www.memfinancialsolutions.com. And that the contact info i have listed for this report is for Daniel Duffy's phone, email and business address as provided to me by MEM Financial Solutions and recent PR statements. Something needs to be done about this (legal action, auditing, etc.) as while it's realized that any stock investment comes with relative risks and rewards, it is evident that now after 3 HUGE reverse splits in less than 3 years, such moves are highly suspect and should warrant full investigation. *EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back into your bank account!
  17. I found this when I Googled their name. These guys own Sebastian River Holdings, Inc. These pictures were taken during the shareholder scam meeting that had maybe 15 people present on memorial day weekend. There was also insider trading and information being used in this scam since I was approached to buy cheap shares from an online promoter at a Pump and dump site (hotstockmarket.com). These shares were being provided to the promoter by one or two of the two accredited investors(which the SEC has failed to identify so far) that signed for the shares They had investors thinking there was a merger going on using the franchise owners son as the owner. They had investors thinking there was an audit when there was none. They released information about a company's past earnings 5 times and all were different. They never provided dividends that were promised while they were holding investors to the reverse split. Many and much information is available and has been provided to the SEC (which has sat on this scam for 8 months), the NASD (which seems to be protecting the market makers and broker dealers) and the FBI (which is passing paperwork all around) pat Kents store, Virginia U.S.A. 18. I am done with this investment for awhile. I am taking a break from all the ups and downs and going back to living my life. When the Dinar RV's, it will be be on the news. Good luck all and God bless everyone.
  19. I just read a press release on the U.N. website dated today. Nothing about Chapter 7. Here it is, read it for yourself: "Print this article Email this article ShareThis" "Violent foes of Iraqi stability cannot reverse progress already under way
