That was my thought as well. "Leaking" this out, in the case of a true RV and not a re-denomination, would seem to cause massive speculation in the market. Only time will tell. I will ride this out to the bitter end.

I hope and pray that these speculations on our part are just paranoid ideations, but I put nothing past anyone who is greedy and power hungry. I have no reason to think that anything like this is happening, and I would like to stay that way. But you never know. We have personally been scammed before in a BIG way, and I am sure that my ****-ride experience has jaded me on many levels. Like I said, we only invested in what we could afford to lose, so for me, I am just gonna take a wait-and-see approach. Thanks again for sharing and have a blessed day!

Bright: Thanks for the info! I am from your neighborhood... grew up in Huntsville and lived in Houston for many years. I am cautiously optimistic about this investment. I only purchased what I could comfortably lose in case its all a big scam. I learned about this through my financial planner, who also bought some himself... again, only what he could lose. Its all pure speculation and I think it could go either way. I was thinking about it last night before I went to bed, and the bottom line for me is this: Someone is lying through their teeth: Either the Iraqi government is pulling a fast one to keep speculators out, or (and this would be sick...) the dealers are pulling the wool over our eyes in order to make boo-koo bucks on us. It can't be both ways. I just think that if its the dealers and owners of these sites, then they better watch it, because if it IS a scam, then they WILL have to answer to the Feds once an investigation is opened for conspiring to commit a crime against us. Nobody wants to deal with the Feds. They don't play. But anything is possible, and I could see where it would be possible to open up difference forums, and sign in as different "gurus" under various names, and feed the dealers more buyers, getting a kick-back in return. I trust no one completely. I pray this isn't the case because I know that some people have put their last dime into this, hoping and praying for a miracle. A lot of people could get hurt in the end... and then again... a lot of ordinary people might actually come out very wealthy. Only time will tell! Let's all hope for the best and prepare for the worst. If anything, its entertaining at a minimum!

Perhaps someone can enlighten me on this subject. When Kuwait came back after the invasion by Iraq, how exactly did their money revalue? When we first got into this investment, there were many references to Kuwait and the fact that people made a ton of money by doing exactly what we hoping will happen with Iraq. But when they RV'd did they also remove zeros from the printed (lop) as well as revalue? I guess what I am getting at is has any country in the entire history of the world EVER RV'd without removing zeros like we keep hearing in the press from CBI? To me, it seems highly unlikely that we will become instantly rich off this investment. I can see an RV of 1:1.40 , then climbing over the next couple of years to 1:$3 or something along those lines, and us making a decent return, but not hundreds of thousands or millions like everyone has hoped for all this time. I really want to believe this thing, but I am starting to have serious doubts. I have read lots of posts and even my financial planner and accountant believe we might make tons of $$$$ on this, and I want to believe that is true, but really, has a scenario like this EVER happened?

The thing that gets me is that why on earth would CBI announce an RV of 1000 dinar: 1 USD. That would be insane. They would never give a heads up like that because it is pretty obvious that every sane person would run and go buy as many Dinar as possible. I mean, really?? Why would they do that, they wouldn't! They are telling everyone in plain English what they are going to do, and its not like we dreamed of. I was cautiously optimistic about this investment, and I only invested what I could comfortably afford to lose. I feel bad for those who may have taken out credit card advances or otherwise gone into debt to buy dinar. Remember what we know: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. I don't think I will lose money in this deal, but it might take a year or so to double my investment, which is fine by me. However, making millions of dollars is just not gonna happen, and I was silly to think that it could. Nothing like what WE wanted has ever happened in history, has it? Correct me if I am wrong. I would love for this fantasy come true, but honestly, the only ones who are making a killing on this deal are the dealers themselves.

More bad news... I have a feeling that this whole Dinar deal was a big joke and the only ones who will make money are the ones who sold it to us. It just doesn't make an sense at all that they can just lop and not RV at a better rate. But maybe they can. Who knows!

Thanks for your replies. I only got into the Dinar in Nov, on advice of my financial planner, who also bought some as well. Everything that's happening is sounding pretty positive for some good things to come eventually.
