Okie has been pretty quiet... now its bulldog, johnnywg.... the "new" clones of okie is trying to pump more dinar sales... I think they will get more sales by being honest and not pump unbelievable rates and dates... telling people how banks work, how IMF, World Bank work... that is simply hillarious. Having said all that, I am here because I have bought some dinars and like all we would like it to RV. However, I doubt it would be anytime soon.... firstly I would like to see it traded globally then let the fundamentals of the country take the currency to its value.. no country can dictate their value.. not when there are more foreign holding of the dinars than domestic...

Must be a clone of OOM.... swift codes, swiss codes, swiftlet codes, computer glitch, new software glitch... its Friday... and its coming... Sat or sunday!! watch it... rates are in.. no JOKE! Bottom line is this: very simply put out the hard facts that Iraq is still in disarray... even if they do RV, the currency must be floated before an exchange can take place, they cannot revalue at their whim and fancy at whatever rate they want... they have to let market forces dictate their value... so 3? 4? I have my reservations. But I do wish for an RV... reality is... I am not optimistic about it within the next year.

Logical? A country mired in deep trouble can have such a strong currency? What is going to happen once they are in full steam? 1IQD=USD50? I would love the rumors to be true.

What's there to practice? Selective hearing. Hahaha... I dont know bout where you are. Where I am.. Our forex board at banks don't blink. It's either there or not there!

By virtue of us being here... We would have invested in dinar. The question is why are we still reading the garbage dished out by the gurus? Day in day out nothing but lies. Yet we read. Why? Because we WISH.. right?

If its an RV, we can all meet at BURJ and pop a champagne.... then again.... i am running out of money to buy ice to keep the champagne cold...

How is it so? RD would be lopping off the zeroes and effectively brings in a new currency to replace the outgoing ones. The new ones would be the one carrying parity value... no? So instead he will now earn 5NewIQD instead of 5000? Not unless again a noob like me has missed something big somewhere.

The way I see it, they would RD lop off the zeroes and go parity 1USD = 1 (new) IQD... and over a period of time, it may or may not rise to 3.5USD =1IQD.... or it may even surpass 3.5... but its a long walk. Economics is so fluid, there can never be two similar situations, in this case I am referring to Kuwait, which many in my city is stating their case against. Or for the sake of an immediate relief, they may RV it to 1.2USD = 1(New) IQD. 20% increase? over number of years we are holding the Dinars? worth the wait? Well, to me that is reality check. I still believe in a fantasy or rather want to believe in fantasy and as Trexxx rightly said, its a cheap investment for a potential returns... well, I bite... enough for me to make a little decent life for myself at a later age if it all goes well... .

All the while Maliki is not in favour of an RD.. right? It was Shabibi that was talking about lopping the zeroes... or did I miss something somewhere...

Exactly.... it turns everyone's life who holds dinar into a life in fantasy island..... but I can tell you halfway across the globe where you are, here, I have some fervent flers who really believe that it will be USD3 to 1IQD.... at the very least.

thats the rate of RV everyone is "expecting"? No?
