Okay, I start from the very beginning with I am a young, educated, partnered, white, hard working, business owning, successful, Christian, Republican *** man. I am pleased with the announcement of support for equality, but it is so very evident that this was nothing more than a political move to try and secure a second term. 3.5 years ago, President Obama declared the same thing that pretty much everyone else did who was running for office ... that his "faith" could not support *** marriage and that he felt marriage was between a man and a woman, but he believed that *** people deserved all other equal rights. His "hope and change" mantra got him overwhelmingly elected. Jump ahead 3.5 years and he has no where near the base that he used to have and he is desperately trying to find a group and a cause to push him through to another term. Personaly I believe this *** marriage is inevitable within the next ten years despite who is elected. Times are changing. More and more people on either side of the fence are becoming more moderate leaning. It is also a generational thing. Most younger people under 40 on both sides are fine with *** people. The only difference would be people with a strong religious conviction. I have no problem with that. People are allowed to believe what they want to believe. In saying that, I am well aware that our country was founded by religious men and women. That said, lets please not forget that in founding a country on religious freedom, they also harshly punished their own people for "not attending church", " speaking out of turn", etc. In starting a new colony in the name of religious freedon they too pursecuted in the name of their faith. I am as red/white/blue as they come and I deeply love this country, but it must be understood that you can be a good American without being a good Christian. You have rights in this country because you are an American and not because you are Christian. I think people forget that. *** people are not your enemy .... we fix your cars, sell you your homes, fly your planes, defend your country, etc. You have *** people in your family and in your group of friends even if you don't know it. Please always remember that your bigotry may be keeping someone you love in a horrible closet of fear. If my Christian upbringing is correct, I learned not to judge lest I be judged, I learned to pull the plank out of my own eye before I go after a speck in someone elses, i have learned how hard it is for a religious man to get into Heaven (eye of a needle), i learned that you are to love thy neighbor, I have leanred to give of yourself and to welcome outsiders, I have learned to love as Christ loved. Too many Christians are caught up in the wrath and anger of God .. the god of the Old Covenant and not the God of the New Covenenant .. the God of love. People condemn *** people and say they can not marry, but if I am correct the Bible says that you can only divorce in the case of adultry. I really wonder how many of you who condemn *** marriage in the name of God and the Bible meet that criteria of the Holy Scripture. I know COUNTLESS Christian people and ministers who have remaried out of convenience/boredom/etc. Also, really get to know the whole story of Sodomm and Gomorah .. the whole story. You might be suprised of what you learn if you study for yourself and do not blindly follow religious propoganda. The long and the short of it is for me ..... all Americans are to have the same rights. You do not have to be Christian to be a good American and worthy of said rights. Get to know the *** people in your circle. You may be pleasantly suprised. Deal with your own issues and faults and religious hypocrisy before you throw judgement on others to try and feel good or cover up your own shortcomings, be it as a family man or a righteous man.

WOW ...... Well now I feel I was not agressive at all I am with you, in that I do not like to get riled up or hammer at someones beliefs, but this DINAR forun has been used repeatedly and I mean repeatedly to attack gays and lesbians and to make us feel inferior. Contrary to what most on this forum may believe, I do have a strong Christian faith from a strong Christian upbringing. I have just learned to question as the Bible tells me to do. I have learned not to blindly follow anyone, be it religious leaders or the *** community. I seek and I decide for myself and hope and trust to have gotten it right. I am blessed to be loved by such a variety of people but I am often the odd guy out in that I am a *** Republican leaning man of faith and conviction. Now, granted it is not what I have been told to believe but rather what I have learned to believe through my own struggles in life. I normally am not a "join the movement" type of person but rather a "live by example" person and that is why I have very few problems in life with anyone. People do not have to agree with me and I respect that. I sure as hell do not condemn them or right them off. This forum has been used repeadly to call Gays dissease spreaders, lovers of pedophilia and beastiality, etc. I get tired of sitting back listening to sheer ignorance spouted off. The vile that comes from so many is used as much as an agenda as any agenda of the *** community. Many Christians should be immensely ashamed by the sheer numbers of children abandoned, on the streets, or dead by their own hand because of the Christian faith that they have been repeatedly beat with. I stand by that *** and Lesbians would be no worse parents (most likely better) than straight parents because we know how to love unconditionaly. You will be hard pressed to find children of gays and lesbians who will kill themselves because they are different. Live and let live people .... love and let love. I am not at all trying to lead anyone away from the Christian faith .. I was raised in it by two of the most loving Christian people I know (my mom and dad). My mother and brother embrace me 100% and my father (RIP) and sister do/did not agree with the lifestyle but still love me unconditionaly and welcome me and my friends into their homes and hearts. Their committment to their faith coupled with the fact that they still love and live by example is what I hold out hope for in more Christians. Unfortunately, the majority do live such a judgemental life. Let your light (faith) shine people like a steadly candle glow not like a raging forest fire that destroys everything in its path. MAN!

See, this is where you are wrong ... I do believe in Christ the Savior who came to save and not to judge and was a man who loved like no other. All of the condemnation spewed forth and resistance to answering legitimate questions which I have posed shows a blind following to a faith (IMHO). If I am correct, which I believe to be .... the Scripture tells us all to seek the truth and not to blindly follow and accept. I have asked legitimate questions pertaining to passages in Leviticus and the commands of the times. I asked why homosexuality is supposedly still abhorant but none of the others categorized with it are. How come some get a free pass and not one specifically. I have asked this numerous times and no one addresses it ... all ignore it. I posed that the whole lot had to do with tribes needing to populate and stay strong and healthy and all I get back is "ewww ..*** people are sinners and disgusting" "repent", etc. I know that I am being agressive here and I do not like to be. I just get tired of people 1) judging without foundation, 2) skirting around questions that the Bible commands believers to be prepared to answer, 3) lumping all gays together. Just as all straights are not thrice divorced, dead beat parents who tramp around in secret behind their spouses at Fantasy Fest, not all Gays are in your face boa and assless chap wearing, agenda driven baristas at Starbucks. Also, for those who believe HIV is a *** dissease as pretty much said here .... wow, gather facts .... sure there is a higher percentage of gays who have the dissease than straights, but still much more straights have HIV than gays as well as all the other sexually transmitted disseases. So many people are blindly afraid of what they do not know and listen strictly to what their agenda driven religious leaders spout.

Teresa, you sound like a Christian who I respect .. much like my parents, but I genuinely want to know why Homosexuality is still an abomination of God, when all of the below listed are now not ..even those it shows that God abhored and detested them as well ..... They are all isted within a few short verses or chapters of each other in the same book .. Leviticus ... seriously ..explain, did God just decide all of the below were acceptable except for homosexulaity or did he make a mistake or are all still abhorant or are we all screwed for lack of a better word. Genuinely want to know. We do not live in O.T. times ... those admonitions of the O.T. were for the times of the O.T. dealing with health and tribe strength and numbers.

Plus 10,000 from me. I love America more than anything and am fiercely Red/White/Blue ..... but OMG hypocrisy runs wild on this site amongst many. There are so many here of the "name it and claim it" mindset that believe God wants them to inherit wealth because they are special in Gods eyes and ofcourse they spout how much good they will do once God grants them what they are worthy of. I think you are thinking that same sex marriage and same sex parenting are the same thing. Gays are still only about 10% (give or take a bit) of the population. I can promise you that gays marrying or having children will not make our country run out of fertile or horny straights to continue to poulate. There is always adoption or insemination for gays to use if they do not want to try it the old fashioned way. Hell, there are plenty of children out there in foster homes, on the streets, and in orphanges conceived the "proper way" that gays should be allowed to rescue. NOW, to even lump gays and radical islamists together is repulsive and ignorant.

I am very much new to this site and also one who has kept fingers crossed and an open mind. I am well aware that this speculative investment could go any number of ways and my 3 million dinar are currently up for a dice role, but your post is all but useless. You offered nothing but "supposed" definitive knowledge but with asolutely zero substance. Seriously confused about what the whole point of your post even was.

Thank you all very much for the welcoming and backing against such a vile attack. I will reiterate that I had no intention of coming on this site for anything more than garnering information about the investment that I have staked myself in (5 million dinar). I sat quietly and lurked and read ... using more time than I probably should have. I am not a person who has an agenda but rather a person who wants nothing more than to better myself through the American way. What some people mis speak of as an "overt Agenda" is really nothing more than a call to equality through the American way. I could not sit idle and let someone not only bash an entire grouping of people ( *** ) through lies and ill founded prejudices (seriously all but calling for extermination) as well as listen to them mutilate the word of God and the core principles of the Word. As this is a predominantly Christian grouping on DV, I felt the need to speak up with what the true Scripture says. What Greenlatern and his kin thrive on is the wrath of the Old Testament. In the O.T. slavery, taking or multiple wives, murder based on minor errs, eye for an eye, etc. are all condoned along with the wrath of God. Thankfully, the blood of Christ did away with the O.T. covenant and we are under the teachings of the new covenant ... the New Testament. The teachings of the N.T. are quite different than that of the O.T. Under the new covenant we are taught to love others and seek our own information and not to blindly follow as misguided sheep. The N.T. commands us to love one another, do onto others .... remember the greatest commandments is to "love". Christ teaches to not cast stones (he who is without sin) .... not to judge (judge not lest ye be judged). I could go on and on. And to hear that Christ does not love all really set me off. Christ died for all and not just the Evangelical Right Wing. What many forget is that Christ did not socialize with the self righteous and religious zealots .. he socialized and lead by example amongst the lowest of society (tax collectors and prostitutes). Christ led the way of "be in the world but not of the world. He was the perfect example of "let your light shine". Green Lantern and his kin would rather use a murderous torch than a small light that illumniates the true Christian faith. I greatly thank God for the true Christians who live and witness the true Christian faith of the New Covenant. I know they are out there because I saw it through my father (R.I.P.) who did not condone my lifestyle but he never stopped loving me with the love of a father or the love of the Father above. I am blessed that he stayed an active part of my life rather than kicking me out of his life. In fact, because he refused to kick me out of his church and his home, he lost his credentials and his church. To me that is the man I want to be and the Christian that I respect. I do not expect to have all agree with me, and in fact I like that they dn't. Variety is truly the spice of life. It is a big beautiful world. I am so blessed to have hundreds of straight family and friedns and thousands of aquaintenances through my employment and my small business that respect and appreciate me as I am. Many do not agree with many ideals I have and not just the *** life style, and I do not agree with many of theirs. This great land of ours allows us to be different. I went on a bit too long and I apologize, but this world has enough hatred. People can live amongst each other and differ with each other. The lies spread about gays wanting things handed to them is not true. They fight for nothing more than equality. Hello, I agree wholeheartedly. I am new here and I came on here because I have invested in to over 5 million dinar and I have quietly lurked here for information and advice. As mentioned above, I will not sit idle when out of the blue for no reason Greenlantern and his ilk espose hatred to a whole segment (***) of this great country. As I mentioned previously, I was not out for a fight and I have zero agenda other than to better myself and live a happy American life. BUT, I am not afraid to stand up against ignorance and vile speak lumped at a huge group of good people, especially not in the name of religion. People keep calling it an Agenda when what it is really is bravery and standing up for what this country believes in. YOU CAN BE A GOOD AMERICAN AND NOT BE A CHRISTIAN. And, I sure as hell should not have to sit on a public forum about investments and listen to an entire group of people be all but called on for extermination. Mods if you truly want to do your job, ban Greenlantern and his sub species...but we all know who are reading this that I will end up being the one tossed out. Oh believe me ..there is more to come in the future of this post from me but a couple real quick points: 1) segments of the Christian faith claim and propose that Sodom and Gomorah were destroyed because of homosexuality and attempted rape and so forth ( I got it all down) .... that is what is implied in the Bible.... but what is actualy said is that the cities were destroyed because of lack of hospitality to strangers. Do we believe what is implied or what is "said". 2) Do some research into whether King James (of the King James Version fame) was *** or not ..... you may be disapointed or even suprised. 3) Most *** people simply want to live and let live. They sometimes become agressive and fight because of the discrimnation and abuse they endure . Many a group before have stood up and fought the same fight ... women, blacks, jews, the handicapped, etc. A segment of society has to fight when they are mistreated.
