  1. Thanks Dinar_o'saurs for the info. That makes a little more scense of things. I kept trying to tell them I thought it was a domestic wire, but they insisted it should be international. Like you said, they need to be schooled.
  2. I just opened my account with Warka and am trying to fund the account. I went to my bank (Community First Credit Union of Florida) and they started to send the wire. They came back and insisted on having a Citibank routing number. From research on the site, several others have apparently used the Fed Wire # as the Routing #, so I told them to use the Fed Wire #: 021000089 as the routing number. I just got a call from my Credit Union saying that Citibank just returned my wire this morning (2 days after I sent the wire) and that they now need a Warka bank location to credit. My bank says that Citibank did not have what they needed to send the money from Citibank to Warka? I believe the wire was sent as an international wire. Here are the specifics of how we sent the wire: Warka Bank for Investment and Finance USD Account Number at Citibank : 36908969 Account Name at Citibank: Warka Bank for Investment & Finance Corresponding Bank Name: Citibank NA Branch: New York BIC - Swift Address: CITIUS33 Fed Wire: 021000089 (Used as the Citibank Routing #) Beneficiary name and account number : <my name here> – USD Account# <my UDS Warka account # here> at Warka Bank for Investment and Finance. Has anyone else had this issue? Should the wire have been sent as a domestic wire? I also called Citibank and they said they have no account number that matches the Warka Bank for Investment and Finance USD Account Number at Citibank : 36908969? This is the number Mr. Issa from Warka bank gave me on Sunday. One would think that they would have this process down by now with as many people as are doing this. Any suggestions? Thanks!!
  3. I am having the same problem. I just opened my account with Warka and am trying to fund the account. I went to my bank and they started to send the wire, but insisted on having a Citibank routing number. I told them to use the Fed Wire #: 021000089 as the routing number. I just got a call from my bank saying that Citibank just returned my wire this morning (2 days after I sent the wire) and that they now need a correct Warka bank routing number. My bank says that Citibank did not have what they needed to send the money from Citibank to Warka? I believe the wire was sent as an international wire. Here are the specific of how we sent the wire: Warka Bank for Investment and Finance USD Account Number at Citibank : 36908969 Account Name at Citibank: Warka Bank for Investment & Finance Corresponding Bank Name: Citibank NA Branch: New York BIC - Swift Address: CITIUS33 Fed Wire: 021000089 (Used as the Citibank Routing #) Beneficiary name and account number : <my name here> – USD Account# <my UDS Warka account # here> at Warka Bank for Investment and Finance. 4. I greatly appreciate both of your replies. But other than insulting me, you have provided no information to answer my questions. If you can't say anything worthwhile then don't say anything at all. Keep your insults and snide remarks to yourself. I asked a legitimate question, and got **** on. People of your caliber don't deserve to even post. Thanks again!!
  5. Ok, I was surfing the XE.com site (http://www.xe.com/currency/iqd-iraqi-dinar) and found the NOTICE below: "The Iraqi Dinar is the currency of Iraq. The currency code for Dinars is IQD, and the currency symbol is د.ع . Below, you'll find Iraqi Dinar rates, a currency converter, Iraqi Dinar News and more. You can also subscribe to our currency newsletters with daily rates and analysis, or take IQD rates on the go with our XE Mobile apps for your iPhone, BlackBerry, or even your regular phone. Notice: IQD may be redenominated:In 2010, the Central Bank of Iraq announced their plans to redenominate the Iraqi Dinar to ease cash transactions. The intention would be to drop three zeros from the nominal value of bank notes; but the actual value of the dinar would remain unchanged. That would mean that 1,000 IQD (pre-redenomination) and 1 dinar (post-redenomination) would both be worth the same amount in US Dollars. Although the announcement stated that the change would take place by the end of 2010, there has been no redenomination as of January 2011 and no further announcements have been made. As stated by the Central Bank of Iraq, their mandate is to "ensure domestic price stability and foster a stable competitive market based financial system." For more information about the redenomination, read "Iraq Planning Currency Redenomination." " The question is, what does this mean and how long has this been here? Has anyone seen this before or is this new?
  6. So what does the negative number mean in the conversion? If you convert from USD to IQD Give them 1 USD, and you get -99.0000Dinar Why would it show a negative number?
