  1. Yes I did read the link and the info contained. Does not apply what is occuring. Listen... I'm done here... GR
  2. This is not a "cookie cutter" situation here. Here is what I would suggest to you... Just read ONLY Iraqi News strait from the source in Iraq. If you have been in this investment long, you should know all the Iraq news sites especially in Baghdad. Put aside all the negatives and listen to what they are saying of late (Past month, but recent days especially). It will do you good to get away from sites with the "GURU's and "Intel", as well as the negative mis-information that has been passed around. If you are truly interested in understanding what is being said NOW (NOT past statements and political governmental info), I again would suggest to you to use Google Chrome (Translates on the fly) and go straight to the Iraqi news (In Country) and READ what they are saying. I respect your opinion, but you are also wrong in your thinking. Respectfully, GR
  3. It is the politically correct thing to do. Does Shabibi have the power to go ahead with the process without asking Maliki, wekk the answer is yes. But it is out of respect to the prime minister of Iraqi (Maliki) Jeeeezz... tough croud.
  4. Yep, most have 25k notes. All my notes are 25k.
  5. With all due respect Keep. You are wrong here. I for one have not sipped any kool aid. I have left this site (Dinarvets) because of all the misinformation that gets passed yaround here (Not all). I have been on a quest to just reading official Iraq news from their in country government officials and the ALL the news of late is positive and moving foward fast. I know you have always sided with the LOP theroy, but you are wrong here. Again, I suggest you keep this post and read it after the RV. GR
  6. 25K notes are not lower denominations. The 25k notes are the ones referenced as "The three 0's" and they are eventually to be removed from the base population. Whether it is large denominations or small, they are all going to revalue. The RV is close!!!
  7. Not a problem. What they are saying here is, the new currency (Lower Denom's) will have a new value (Revaluation). They cannot just revalue some of their currency, it has to be ALL of their currency. They will also be removing larger bills with the three 0's from the base population. I only read REAL news from Iraq! I know what they are saying here!! This is GOOD NEWS! Respectfully, GR
  8. If you think this is bad, then you don't understand what is going on. This is GOOD NEWS!!!
  9. Sorry folks, the filter is not allowing me to post the whole working link. Just go tho the currency newshound and see for yourself!!
  10. OK Floks... This is fresh from the currency newshound. Shabibi is asking Maliki for the green light to start the roll-out of the lower denomination! Here is your link: This is what we're waiting for!! Shabibi (CBI) asks Maliki's (Prime Minister) permission to send out the lower denominations!! Azzaman, July 15, 2011 Iraq’s central says the country is in need of a new currency in which the current zeros are removed to facilitate commercial transactions. Central Bank Governor Sinan al-Shabibi said he was in talks with the prime minister, Noor al-Maliki, on how to go ahead with the bid to issue dinars with lower denomination and higher appreciation. Shabibi said Iraqis were now relying a lot on the U.S. dollar, particularly in settling cash transactions that required a lot of money. The use of credit cards is still limited in Iraq and cash is still the main source in trade and commerce. Allocations even for small projects and to carry out simple commercial deals are in millions or billions of dollars. Three bundles of $10,000 require carrying or paying about 40 million dinars. The new arrangement, once carried out, will make transactions simpler and easier, the Central Bank governor said. Calculating and paying with the current currency makes trade deals rather “awkward and difficult” for a small country like Iraq, Shabibi said. Other countries, like Turkey and Brazil, successfully dealt with the same problem by removing zeros from their currency. In Turkey, people dealt with millions of liras for simple purchases and transactions. Today a dollar is worth about 1.6 liras. Shabibi said there was a lot for Iraq to learn from Turkey.
  11. And yet another posting of yours I fully agree with!!! Great Work! This is the exact standing the IRS holds on this!
  12. The Federal Government and the contractor "IRS" has final say will dictate what we pay in taxes not any attorney, CPA or otherwise. I stand by what my sister has stated as a case investigator with the IRS. She has always been correct regarding the tax related answers she has given me regarding Federal Tax questions. You do what you feel you need to do. GR
  13. Because it doesn't matter. Why discuss something if the IRS is looking at this differently, it's not going to change a thing. I catually agree with your first assessment as I felt the same way, BUT, the IRS is NOT looking at our DINAR purchases, holdings and revalues other than an investment period. I'm not sure with whom you spoke with but you were not given the correct standing that the Federal Government has on subject. I would highly suggest you dig into this a lot deeper than just talking to the first person that answers the phone at the IRS. I'm really trying to do my best here. I do not have any more input here. Respectfully, GR
  14. I AM READING YOUR POST. I have read what you have read!!!! That is why I got the inside scoop as to how the IRS is going to tax our invetment. I cannot chage the way the IRS is going to look at this and neither can my sister. I just wanted to post the FACT as to not mislead anyone and get them in trouble by accepting the wrong advise. Again, call the IRS for youself and ask for a MANAGER and get the info for yourself if you doubt the validity of what I am saying. GR
  15. Again, what I have stated in my post IS frome the IRS and they have the last and final say in this. I don't like it either, but this IS fact on how the IRS is going to tax our investment. This Has been confirmed with her superiors, this is NOT my sisters opinion this IS what the IRS is stating! You can call them and check it out for yourself. On a personal note/opinion, I also believe Obama will get everything he can out of this investment GR
  16. INFO DIRECTLY FROM THE IRS: My sister is a 25 year employee at the IRS and she states the Ferderal Tax Laws that are currently in place state that investment earnings under 1 will be subject to a 35% Capital Gains Tax. Investment earnings over 1 year will be subject to 15% Capital Gains Tax. *THIS IS CONFIRMED and is the current Tax Law. Also, Obama is currently working on increasing the Capital Gains tax VERY SOON (Increased Tax rate unknown at this time). The IRS doesn't care what any other "financial professionals" are stating, they are following the Federal Tax Laws. The IRS considers Foreign Currency Purchases an "investment" that will be subject to Capital Gains Tax Laws. I hope this helps. If you are still unsure, you can call the IRS yourself. GR
  17. Yes we will, I beleive in the next few months (my opinion based on REAL news and Iraq current policies). Umm...Hmm...
  18. You're still ok, but you lost some ground with that graphic post.
  19. Don't even waist your time. It's just the way "THINK..." is, plain and simply. I'm a Christian that is totally immune to his bashing on this site with me and others. It's all good. GR
  20. Wow...Second time I have agreed with your posting! You're on a roll, great comment post! GR
  21. Translated... I went out to dinner with this guy and got a great deal and something happend (not clear what) and his friend was sued. His Friend evidently worked there at the restaurant Iraw (Believed to be a sushi bar). The weekend prior, he has this dream that he was going to be sued this month. He tried running away and called a taxi but they were all delayed due to a spike in business. Evidently he finally got a taxi and somehow ended up in Iraq where he spent a lot of time and gave him hope. I will translate further as more comes in... GR
  22. Not sure why all the excitement. That is an image at the bottom left side of that website and has displayed that fugure for literally months. IT IS NOT REAL. That has been debunked long ago by other DV members on this site. Sorry... Just trying to keep things real here especially for those that havn't visited DV in the past several months.
