first of all, no i don't have a problem with how this forum is run. my orginal post was made before PVS contacted me and once a thread is moved, it's not like there's a link on the forum index saying the thread is moved nor is it possible for me to see the super secret mod forum to know what's going on there. obviously, PSV and I have discussed this sufficiently but I appreciate (note: sarcasm) your need to come in here and share your wisdom on the subject. Also, in the spirit of respect and disrespect, I would like to note that I feel disrespected by your use of the "wacko" smiley in regards to this thread and matter. I don't question the way this forum is run but I do question the opinions of a mod who will insult a user when that user has legitimate questions and issues with goings on with this message board. I'll remember to never question anything ever again, and to never get out of line, or have thoughts for myself. To think that someone could be free to do any of that is just downright silly, I guess. and finally, Nowhammies, my feelings on this are fine. What I'm sure you assume to be my tender sensibilities on your list are perfectly in order. If you think having that list is appropriate, that's fine. I didn't see the harm in straight up asking you about it, though. That's all. If I can't ask you why my name is on a list you're posting on your profile, then there's a huger issue than a list on your profile. This all got blown into a bigger thing once the thread was moved. Keep your list up. I don't care. I just wanted to know why you had it up in the first place.

That's not very respectful. me and my fellow members have been singled out and I'd like to know why. you moved that thread before the question could be answered, and with no explanation. I hate to ruffle feathers here, but you'd have been better off just leaving the original thread in place.

So then explain to me how my thread was disrespectful? I'm being honest here. Two members single out folks they don't agree with and list them on their own personal pages without notifying those listed, and that's ok...but then asking those two members what their motives and logic behind such actions is not ok? I know some of my original post was sarcastic and tongue in cheek, but none of it was worse than anything else posted here every day of the week.

the point was that my name and several others is on a list, singling us out specifically from other users on this board and I was never notified of this by those making the lists. and because I'm a man, I straight up asked them what the deal with that was.

you know what? I was super naive when I came here and thought that race was a big factor behind it. After hanging around here for a couple weeks, I understand now that you guys are way beyond my plane of reasoning. I don't understand your motives for all this or going forward. Exactly. You could have bought a second house or buy a mercedes. I kinda get the impression that a lot of folks on this site don't have the ability to either of those things at any given time. Hence investing in the dinar.

The Dinar is worthless, it has no buying power. Look... A ream of 500 sheets of paper at Office Max is $8.79. That means a sheet of blank, unused paper is worth $.01758. The dinar is worth $.0086. So a sheet of plain white paper is worth more than ten Iraqi Dinars. That's worthless. I know in the most literal sense, the dinar has "value," and that it has some measurable "worth," but come on. And again, I'm not being negative. I'm invested. I hope like hell this all pans out, but I'm being realistic about it and I see this for what it is. A shot in the dark.

Oh, I know. But despite all the progress, why haven't they RV'ed? Every week its another reason to be hopeful and then every week after that, its another list of reasons why it isn't. 5 years ago, this probably looked like a good investment. Now, it doesn't. People coming in should say, "well if it was going to RV it would have happened by now." which is why anyone already holding should probably think twice about adding more.

scams, conspiracies, or otherwise...buying a totally worthless currency from a country without a fully seated, functioning democratic government, plagued by violence and religious extremism and terrorism and surrounded by other crazy nations in varying stages of dictatorship is not what any logically thinking person would call a "sound investment." and don't misunderstand me. I have dinars. I'm hoping this all pans out and i can buy a solid gold DeLorean, but when you look at the surface of things, we might as well be buying real estate on the moon. There is no guarantee any of this will ever pan out the way we hope and in fact, a lot of the data seems to support the notion that for as long as we care to pay attention, we'll all be holding worthless currency.
