Back in the day when IIF was in the fore-front of Dinar forums this was extensively debated there. It was generally concluded that the Saudi Riyal was on a base that compared it to the American dime much as the Japanese Yen is on a base that compares it to the American penny. If that were the case then the relative values of Kuwaiti and Saudi currencies are 'in the same ballpark'. (This should generate some good discussion)

My observation would be that you may have spoken 'out of turn' inasmuch as you didn't seem to notice the kind of 'left-leaning' appointees of every Democratic Administration for decades. Your comment on Bush may well be meritorious but it is grossly unbalanced (or at least imbalanced).

Do I assume correctly that you have done thorough due diligence on this issue inasmuch as you unequivically say they can pay back in USD? Perhaps a second look would be merited.

Sorry, that is simply wishful thinking or really bad math. If 1 IQD= 0.23 USD then, dividing both sides of the = sign by 0.23 yields 4.18 IQD = 1 USD.

Why would I do that when I can buy 600 IQD for 0.50 USD?

I live in Canada and planned to give IQD to my church and simply assist them in the conversion of the currency. There is no tax component for either party. I also intend to make major puchases where I will get the vendor to invoice me in IQD. That transaction also will have no tax component for either party. I reviewed this with Revenue Canada and it was verified as having no basis for any taxation.

Take a refresher course in reading and then follow it up with a basic math course;....should help.

With minimal reading it is obviously 1 IQD=0.86 USD.
