We have gone through months and months of ficticious articles about the forming of the government ... and that has yet to happen even after the ficticious articles that told us the govt has recently BEEN formed. We were all excited!!! Remember that from a couple days ago? So my question is this ... why would any thinking person conclude that we can believe the articles that are now talking about raising the value of the dinar? And don't give me the scientific, proveable answer, "Because they HAVE to do it. They cannot continue on this way!" They have continued this way for 7-8 years (longer when you consider Sadaam), the "leaders" (whoever they may end up being) show NO regard for the people, their CENTURY long infighting religious divisions all but deny them the possibility of democracy ... you have to change their culture, WHO they are ... all this to say their way of life thrives off deception, broken contracts and tribal competition and we sit here waiting for them to "pull the RV trigger" and solve all the economic problems of the world. How is it that a country that cannot seat a govt 9 months after an election is going to be THE economic global player extrordinaire???? Do you ever wonder about this thing called the RV?

What seems to loom large in my mind is that we have heard for months that the rate was SET quite a while ago ... and now, all of a sudden, the rate is being discussed and decided on. Ya can't have it both ways. It does make you think this is all a bunch of crap, eh?

For the past several months MED has basically concentrated on analyizing articles, talking with others "in the know" about the dinar, assessing what was happening or NOT happening with the GOI, etc. He has not been doing any real predicting about rates and dates. He did say in an early morning post today that he was awaiting additional information, and that he was VERY EXCITED about the this journey. Now this! This is NOT characteristic of MED, so methinks he must be getting some pretty specific info to write this... JMO!

Why is it so easy to sometimes believe all the pathological liars in the GOI, and yet we beat TK up all the time? Something to think about, eh?

Remember ... they passed a budget last year ... supposedly the same thing ... that the RV was included and we would get the announcement any day. Well 9 months have rolled around with same ole same ole. Stay grounded. There are NO guarantees!!

Ali is an unpstanding guy ... but, if history proves itself again, you won't have anything to worry about, since ALL Mondays of the predicted RV have come and gone! On this issue, this time I want to be wrong ... LOL

Okie ... quick question here ... you said on a post a couple days ago that there were some things that needed to be done, but that the RV would not be delayed ... that what was being done was not a delay, everything on schedule in effect. Does this post kinda negate what you said before Is there now a delay in what you thought we would see with the RV??

Ali is also going to have some other investment possibilities, like his bank in Iraq ... so, each customer he gets in the door is a potential investor for some of his other stuff. Like running a sale ... they get you in the door and you buy some other stuff!!! It's a money-maker, and that is what capitalism is about!!!

Re: Cashing in with Ali Supposedly one can cash in with Ali and check on the status of the transfer BEFORE leaving his office. My questions: 1. A wire transfer is not instant, and may not show up for a day or so ... so how can one know then and there that the transfer was made? 2. An electronic transfer from one of Ali's major banks (BoA, Chase, WF or Citi) to another account at one of these same banks MAY be instantly verifiable ... is this true? 3. But my understanding is that electronic transfers have a ceiling amount for personal accounts ... correct? Business accounts have no ceiling from what I heard. Correct? So, even IF an electronic transfer was instant and verifiable, a peronal account may have it's limits. Someone out there in dinar land, please help me out!

I may be wrong, but I do not think there will be a FinCen 104 if you exchange dinar for gold. That is the thing with buying/selling gold and silver. There is no record when you buy or sell it. In the past there has been no way to record gains or losses, no paperwork there. I do think there is now a provision in the new health care bill, of all places, that indicates that gold will be taxed in 2012 (I THINK that is the year). If gold and silver gains have always been taxed, then why make a new law to tax it?

You give the politicians too much credit for having a plan. The Iraqi election was last March!!! And you want to tell us that the debacle that has since ensued was orchestrated with Nov 2nd in mind. Naw ... the Arabs love to argue too much, so they have been in seventh heaven over this. And the American govt can't find their behinds with both hands, so they never could have PLANNED it this way!

Insurance is NOT the monster .... REGULATION is the ogre. Get the regulation (I.e. govt) out, you get competition across state lines. Problem all but solved!!!

No ... why would that have any bearing? Most Americans don't know there are different branches or govt, much less what the issues are. And they certainly did not know any of the particulars about the Iraq war, other than what the gutless MSM told them.
