Can't believe we are almost 10 years past Al Gore and folks think Bush was "given" Florida. You had to have been here to know what was going on in democratic South Florida ... ONLY there were they recounting, and every time they did Bush was still the winner. Large numbers of military ballots were never counted and would certainly have favored Bush. The MSM mistakenly declared Gore the winner prematurely while polls were still open in the heavily Republican panhandle, 'causing many to turn and go home before voting, thinking their vote would not count. The Secretary of State in Florida, who was a republican, by law SHOULD have called the election after 7 days, but continued to allow the circus for the sake of political correctness and all the hoopla that was occurring. Only then did it make it's way to the supreme court. Al Gore did not have anything stolen from him.

I think this must mean that this is a really slow news day in the world of dinar!!! LOL

My understanding about the 2 day cash in with the dong simply meant that you would have 2 days to use dong money to buy more dinar if you chose to do so .... because the dinar supposedly would RV 2 days after the dong. I think that was the only point being made there. And while it is easy to get off on "How could this be .... the banks are closed on Monday for a holiday? .... see, he really is stupid ..." The point had nothing to do with really cashing in the dong but rather letting us know that there is a source out there that is saying the VND and the IQD have two days between their respective RV's. And for all those out there who think the world is going to RV their currencies and make their financial decisions based on our holidays and our banking hours, it might be good to develop a bit of a broader perspective. Memorial Day is not important to them. In fact, it is not even important to Obama. Take this for what it is ... a report from a "source" whose info has been as good as the next guy's.

Finally some maturity and reason. There has indeed been such silliness and needless bantering about what .... RUMORS!!!! The whole dinar investment, while hopefully VERY legitimate, is RUMOR and SPECULATION at best from where we all stand at this point!. I, too, have often found myself at other sites because of all the "You da man" ... "Yeah, you tell 'em"! etc. about those with whom there is some disagreement.

Ya'll need to stop with all this ugly stuff. Just disagree if you must and leave well enough alone!

What is telling is the fact that those with a whole lot more tax knowledge than me cannot come anywhere close to agreeing on dinar (currency) taxes ... some say there is no tax because exchange of currency is basically just that ... taking one currency and giving another one in exchange that in theory is supposed to be of comparable value based on goods, resources, services, etc. And when currencies get out of whack, they revalue to make things even again, thus a relative equal exchange. That is why nations are howling about the Chinese because their currency is deliberately not representative of their economic standing and contribution to world trade, thus making an uneven field of play. Others say it will be capital gains. Others say it will be treated as ordinary income. All of these people can't be right, but depending on who you have looking at your return at the IRS, it is possible that none of them will be right. What a screwy system!!!

Look at it this way .... I would not bet any money on this and certainly would not order any more dinar or dong because of this ... but don't we all hope this is true??? One thing you CAN say about this conference call... it was not vague, but very specific. AND, it will either prove to be true or false in a short period of time. In the mean time I won't plan my day around what is stated here.

I have been around this site since October of last year, and some of the very ones who are blasting TK and Ennorste for giving out BS have themselves made 100% predictions in the past that we all know did not pan out ... and folks have not berated them. Remember the bottom line ... NO ONE knows for sure. Read this into every bit of "intel", and it will save you a LOT of frustration!!!

The supposed rates of 3.21, 3.19 and now 2.88 may all have some vailidity depending on spread, govt. rate, bank rate, etc. They could all be right in a sense, they could all be wrong. TK and Gankans were saying the election results were to be announced today, and the first headline I saw today on my puter was about a recount. Went to my e-mail and had a note there that Maliki was saying he was no longer seeking the PM position. That is how it goes in Iraq. That is how it goes in DC as well. What will be, will be ... apart from what we think or want.

If you can afford the 10 mil dinars at $1020 a mil, why not buy outright what you will buy in 30 days anyway? If it RV's you have your 10 mil dinars in hand, if it doesn't RV in 30 days you have to pay up or lose your money. How is this a deal?

Some folks are negative just to be negative. I am not one of them, but I do tend to analyize what I hear. Consider this, and it is NO reflection on Riley whatsoever. This is yet another scenerio in what months ago was a DONE DEAL. Remember all the banks who hired extra folks ... on the weekends, no less ... only through October though? Remember all the tents set up in Iraq for exchanging dinar (really for Ramandan)? All the deadlines that meant Iraq could not go on without an RV? The LOP?, The CBI info? We all could go on and on. My only point is this ... if this story is true, then ALL the others are false. By false I am talking about not only the info itself, but the PROCESS by which all this was to occur. The process has always been "RV on such and such a date, cash in the next". Now we have trade in large denoms for small ... which is fine perhaps for in country, but we are not in country. We will be "at BoA" ... and WF, who does not deal in the dinar. Until we get an RV of the dinar that shows up on world markets we are where we have always been ... holding 10 and 25K dinars at 1170 in the USA with no real recourse for the most part.

I don't deny that we may be WAY closer than we ever have been ... but if today can change and opt out for 10 days hence, then remember that the 10 days hence can do the same thing. I know of three other times that the CBI contact was thinking in effect, "This is it". As much as no one knows the rate and date, no doubt none of us knows the complexities of this thing either ... ahhhhhhhh patience is a character builder!!

Ya know, the irritating thing about this kind of post is that people come here, see this title and access it, just to find this kind of silliness. It is a waste of time to have to sort through all this junk that is allowed to remain here as some kind of a "legitimate" thread.

I am not some fancy investor, but God has been more than faithful to provide for me; and says that He will instruct me and teach me in the way I should go, and that He will counsel me with His eye upon me. I also know that the Scriptures say that borrowing is associated with a curse and that giving and lending go hand in hand with blessing. I so want to live by these principles ... and to do so I have to be debt free even though the "experts" may say I can come out better by employing various financial strategies that might go against this. At some point I have to say that enough is enough, and when this RV's, it will be enough for me. I will be through with this and will make investments that are modest and reasonable with giving at the forefront of my ambitions. I have no children to consider, and those of you who have families have a responsibility that I cannot fathom. My hope and prayer is that you will diligently pursue their care and be successful and faithful in what God has entrusted to you.

Now would you rather have a loooooong post with all the articles quoted and analyzed to the inth degree ... and it be wrong? ... or would you rather have a quickie "bank story" post that's easy to understand ... and it be wrong? Just kidding ... someday, someone, somewhere at sometime with be SOMETHING ... THEY WILL BE RIGHT!!!

If Maliki is telling the truth, or if what we are UNDERSTANDING is that the whole thing is still being studied ... then where in the world did the "intel" come from for weeks and weeks that kept saying this was a done deal, the rate was set, we are just awaiting an announcement? that the banks were given notice of a pending RV? ... that ... it goes on and on! I mean, even a rumor has to start somewhere, with some shred of something to give it impetus!!! We keep saying "ya can't make stuff like this up", but apparently ya really can just get some of this out of thin air!

My guess about Ali ... he got slammed for letting the cat out of the bag, so he backtracked. Too bad, 'cause it is hard to restore a reputation. We could imagine/hope that he wanted us to have the info, but somehow did not want the world to know that he was responsible for making that known.

Am I missing something here ... lifting of the zeroes will raise the currency against the dollar ... An RV AFTER the lifting of the zeroes helps us how? Yeah ... what I thought ... it doesn't!
