  1. I just don't see how they can pull all of this off in two days. I agree that the hourly news updates are all over the place and confusing.
  2. I've been wondering the same thing, because if they "have" to RV before CH7 removal, which may or may not happen Wednesday (realistically), then that would be Tuesday 14 Dec.
  3. From another article "Maliki confirmed during the meeting [with US joint chief chairman Adm Mike Mullen] that the Iraqi security forces are capable of handling the security responsibility, the channel said." My link
  4. http://news.xinhuanet.com/english2010/world/2010-12/13/c_13647373.htm BAGHDAD, Dec. 13 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi Prime Minister-designate Nuri al-Maliki on Monday met with Admiral Mike Mullen, chairman of U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staffs, who paid a surprise visit to Iraq, an official television reported. "The two discussed political and security developments in Iraq, in addition to the U.S. troops withdrawal by the end of next year, " the state-run channel of Iraqia said. Maliki confirmed during the meeting that the Iraqi security forces are capable of handling the security responsibility, the channel said. For his part, Mullen renewed the U.S. support to Iraq in all fields, stressing his country's adherence to all its commitments toward Iraq, it said. The top U.S. military officer arrived in Baghdad earlier in the day in an unannounced visit to meet with his troops in Iraq ahead of the final year of their mission in the country. Mullen's visit came as Maliki is in the midst of forming a new government ahead of the deadline of Dec. 25. U.S. troops in Iraq had been reduced to below 50,000 soldiers. Washington said the remaining troops will remain in Iraq to conduct support and training missions. U.S. military forces are to pull out completely from Iraq by the end of 2011 according to the security pact named Status of Forces Agreement, or SOFA, signed late in 2008 between Baghdad and Washington.
  5. Right on thanks for all the pos info. I myself, a born skeptic though still an investor, wonder why exactly CH7 cannot be lifted without an RV. What's the connection? That would mean the RV happening Tuesday. Or we'll have to wait til the next meeting of the Security Council?? Whenever that is. Otherwise I think someone else posted an article in news that Kuwait is asking for CH7 to NOT be lifted. Bottom line of course is who knows. All the news is starting to read like a gossip column or a soap opera! Guess we just have to hold onto our hats for Dec 15 because that's the most hard news we can get our minds around. Exciting! Bahrain's dinar is pretty sturdy!
  6. Right on. I've read at least four articles today talking about continuing violence, bombings, and insurgencies alongside agreements between the power people. Who knows. Not me. But it's an educational ride!
  7. I don't see why the original poster doesn't publicly reveal how many dinar he/she owns.
  8. Since 1988, no windfall profit tax has been enacted in the U.S., however, when gas prices once again reached record levels there was renewed pressure on the U.S. government to bring back the tax. At least nine bills that purported to tax windfall profits of crude oil producers were introduced in the 110th United States Congress during 2007-08 (HR 1500, HR 2372, HR 5800, HR 6000, S.1238, S.2761, S.2782, S.2991, S.3044) . source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windfall_profits_tax
  9. Not bad. Maybe I'll try that route too.
  10. So... can anyone tell me how much interest a Warka savings account bears?
  11. Which quotes are you speaking of? The currency exchange rates on the home page of CBI.iq?
  12. So in other words we want numbers to the right of the decimal, and the SMALLER that number, the LARGER per dollar rate exchange we're looking at. wOOt I think I get it now.
  13. I won't sniff at it either. Maybe not cash it all in at that rate. I keep reading good things about oil deals between Iraq and Kuwait, Iraq and Shell. Could rise afterward if the pipeline stays intact.
  14. Thanks I appreciate your input.
  15. The description says it's updated as of today but I don't know if that's a web bot posting that update or not. Well what's 30 bucks in the grand scheme of things. I read his CASH IN free download and learned quite a bit about spreads, CBI and waiting so if the book offers more, I'm gonna go for it.
  16. Thanks. I'm basically thinking in terms of investment at this point.
  17. Hi All, I'm about 3 months into the whole Dinar investment thing. Just wondering how many people have read Montana's book and an objective opinion on whether I need to buy it or not. Thanks for any suggestions.
  18. What do you mean by "recall?" What does that mean for people who only have 25K notes?
  19. I don't understand this. Can you please explain how you got the .3105 IQD per dollar if it revalues at $3.22? I'm terrible at math.
  20. Thought we might need a bit of levity with all this waiting and waiting.
