  1. A nice chunk of property at the base of Mt Hood, a 6,500 sq, ft home on that land, moving my 4 companies to Northern Oregon and employing about 30 people with good jobs.
  2. I believe I read a news story some months back about a guy in Japan buying $3,000,000 in dollars worth of Dinar. Can you say BILLIONAIRE if this comes in even at .50 a share? Imagine if it hits $3.89? If he was able to buy 3 million Us worth, he's probably already pretty wealthy to start.

    IF

Great post hooter, and agree 100%.
  4. You tell them Sister Mary. A little bit of human kindness goes a long way!
  5. I like your way of thinking Rich. Aim low and be very happy when it comes in at $3+, as opposed to the people predicting $8+ who will be crying and moaning when it's "ONLY" $3 per. Either way, we all need to be good stewards of our soon to be new found wealth.
  6. I hope it is going to happen this year, and to support all the contracts that have been signed for development in Iraq, it has to revalue soon. However, I wholeheartedly disagree with your rate. The upswing of oil reserves alone will easily support a rate of around the rate at the time of the invasion. I personally would be shocked at a rate that low. I've studied the data forward, backwards and sideways. I don't speak just as an investor, but also as one who holds 2 economics degrees and runs 4 companies. I don't have any data to support, just my personal opinion. God bless and go RV!
  7. Harsh, but true. Like everyone else, I have a vested interest in seeing this happen, sooner, rather than later. GO RV
  8. 6:42 am in So Cal and ezforex also is showing 925.54.
  9. The problems are so far greater than B.O. and even though he's been a JOKE of a president, the seated congress is as much to blame. Until we get true representation for the people, by the people, nothing will change. As long as we try to fix the social ills by throwing money at it, nothing will ever change. The entitlement crowd loves B.O. because he makes their lives easy off the backs of the working blue collar man. Cut taxes, cut spending even further, repeal this stupid health care bill and secure our borders. THAT should be the first priorities of the new congress. Sorry for the rant, but I hate the direction this great country has turned to. GOD BLESS AMERICA!
  10. I guess it all depends on which bank / branch you talk to. I have accounts at Chase, Wells Fargo and B of A. All 3 at my main branch have told me once the RV happens, and they are allowed to accept Dinar, that they will accept for deposit. However, as is the tone with most here, I'll probably just go through Ali on the larger bills, and cash the smaller bills in directly at my bank.
  11. I would hope that the Iraqi Supreme court has some muscle behind the order. Maybe jailing a few of those crooks will prompt some action? I know a lot of people would get motivated to take action when threatened with jail time. Thanks for the update Molly.
  12. I hope this is the last straw before the convening of the government for formation. GO RV!
  13. We can only hope. GO RV and God Bless us all!
  14. Why do you think it won't RV until March 2012? Interested in hearing your thoughts.
  15. For what it's worth: From http://www.xe.com/currency/iqd-iraqi-dinar The Central Bank of Iraq has announced their plans to redenominate the Iraqi Dinar to ease cash transactions. By the end of 2010, they intend to drop three zeros from the nominal value of bank notes. It should be noted that the actual value of the dinar will remain unchanged. That means that 1,000 IQD (pre-redenomination) and 1 dinar (post-redenomination) will both be worth the same amount in US Dollars. As stated by the Central Bank of Iraq, their mandate is to "ensure domestic price stability and foster a stable competitive market based financial system." For more information about the redenomination, read "Iraq Planning Currency Redenomination." And, from that link: February 06, 2010 BAGHDAD -- The Iraqi Central Bank is planning to redenominate the national currency in an effort to ease transactions and allow people to carry less paper money, RFE/RL's Radio Free Iraq (RFI) reports. Mudhhir Muhammad Salih, a member of a Central Bank advisory panel, told RFI that a plan has been made to remove three zeros from the currency and phase out the current banknotes late this year. Salih said by the end of 2010 the new banknotes will be fully introduced while the old banknotes will be gradually removed from circulation. He did not specify when the new notes would be issued. Both will be legal tender in Iraq until the old notes are completely withdrawn. Iraqi officials have had a long-running plan to redenominate the Iraqi dinar. In 2006, the Finance Ministry recommended to the Central Bank that it carry out such a plan. Salih pointed out that banks are having a hard time accepting cash savings and deposits, but by dropping the zeros it will make it easier for both the banks to deal with their customers and for the general public to carry money. He said some 80 percent of Iraq's money supply is cash in circulation. Salih added that in 1990 the value of banknotes in circulation was about 25 billion Iraqi dinars but is currently some 25 trillion dinars. Economic analyst Hilal al-Tahhan told RFI that the bank's move is overdue. He said he expects the currency change to go smoothly because of the decision to allow both the old and new banknotes to coexist, leading to less turbulence in the economy. The current exchange rate is 1,167 Iraqi dinars to the U.S. dollar.
  16. I agree that some humor is needed here at times, to break the tension of all of us awaiting to become mega millionaires. Just my 2 Dinars worth, lol.
  17. It CAN'T stay the same. NO country, company or even small investor will ever pour another dime into that country if they don't revalue their currency to an acceptable standard of exchange. Iraq needs the investors, and the only way they get it is through revalue of the Dinar. Right now, all it makes is pretty toilet paper.

    Chase Bank

I hold accounts at Bank of America, Chase and Wells Fargo. I've spoken to currency exchange bankers at all 3 banks, at several branches for each and the answer I get at nearly every branch / bank is: "We just don't know what or when it will happen". I own over 3 million dinar, and am buying more every day. I scan several dinar sites nearly every hour. 99.9% of the posts are bs. Here is the facts that I've been able to gather. It will revalue. It will be at a rate high enough to allow Iraq to pull in the foreign investor money. It will NOT be $10 or higher. Typical rate I'm GUESSING will be around $1.50-$3.00. I base this on economists reports and sound financial reasoning, but as we all know, it's a crap shoot. For everyone who likes to post the false stories, until the news is announced on Fox, CNN and the AP, STOP posting the stories about the government forming (FALSE) the RV being done (DOUBLE FALSE) or rates at $5-$9 per (TRIPLE FALSE FALSE FALSE!!) When it happens, don't forget to help those less fortunate and for God's sake, get a trustworthy financial planner. GO RV!!
  19. Where have we heard this before? Oh, maybe 100 times a day, every day for the past 7 months? How do you know a government official is lying? His or her's lips are moving.
  20. It's the open discussion of information, some old, some new, and some repeated, that is why this forum was created. This is my first post, and yes, I am a "newbie" but that certainly doesn't make me any less of an interested investor than Tim, or anyone else. I've done a lot of study and research before I went out and bought my dinar. I look at it as a long term investment that might hit quickly, or it might take 10 years. I'm lucky enough to own 4 companies that allow me to buy Dinar on a weekly basis and not have it effect my lifestyle, though if it does hit anywhere near the numbers being floated around here, I'll never have to work again. Tim, you need to keep your nastiness to yourself. Karma is a *****, and she spares nobody when she strikes. Read more: http://dinarvets.com/forums/index.php?#ixzz10EbNv6e1
