Thank you! -
Interesting question to test the kind of person you are

That's quite a quandry for the conscience! While I wish for peace in Iraq, we all know there will always be problems in that area, NO MATTER WHAT. Unless it was Almighty God Himself, that came down to guarantee there would be peace and happiness for all time in Iraq, YES I WOULD. IF not, then NO, I would keep my Dinars, thank you! -
Obama administration declares Iraq open for U.S. business

I agree with Ratatap. If they RV'd, it would show they are serious about moving these projects forward, and instill more faith in U.S. investors. -
I'll ask this ?? again at the request of He Man

Good posts everyone. I was only able to convince a few family and friends, the rest scoffed and and said "scam'. They didn't bother to do the research and actually dig out the facts, and that laziness is why they have always have worked hard and will continue to do so and remain poor. I've worked for myself nearly my entire adult life (41yrs old), have had some big successes, and some decent sized failures, but I always learned from it, and have always bettered myself and my financial position overall. Being this way kept my mind open to new ideas and investments, and as soon as I heard about the IQD, I immediately did lots of homework, and after careful thought, I invested. You NEVER know where the next big investment will come from, so always have an open mind with a dose of common sense. Look at the PET ROCK for example. The guy made millions. I believe this investment is the opportunity of a LIFETIME, and it's sad most cannot see it that way. Cheers all -
I bought my with a cashiers check, no problem. Must be something with the banks, although I haven't used the wire service to buy Dinar. Good luck!

With Iraq, ANYTHING is possible. This IS a speculative investment, no matter what anyone says. All the evidence points to an RV this year, but we have no idea of any unforeseen factors that may arise to affect it.

Iraqi bloc: we don’t want to derail political process

In 2 days we shall soon hold an imminent meeting, to determine if we can discuss mechanisms to form a government at a later date this month. -
Yes, I got that, and I acknowledged it. I wasn't bashing, I was just pointing out that this info wasn't some kind of "inside intel", that's all, just general knowledge. Glad to see something is moving forward as scheduled. Hopefully it means we are very close to an RV. Iraq has to have an acknowledged currency in order to move all of these projects forward.

This is old news regarding the 15 companies being in Iraq. From September 1st, 2010. However, that IT IS actually happening on schedule, is a very good sign indeed. http://www.china-daily.org/International-News/U.S.-Department-of-Commerce-will-send-a-trade-delegation-to-visit-Iraq/

I've heard that a ton of contracts in Iraq will expire on the 10th if they haven't RV. Just what I've heard, not a fact.
-
Again, we have remember that anything from the Iraqi press is crap, and just wait to see what actually DOES happen.
-
These guys don't care about anything but being in power, and they will screw, hustle, and lie to meet their ends. IF they are SMART, they won't drag this past the end of the year, but have they done anything smart up to this point? All we can do is wait and see!

Accord paves way for re-election of Iraq PM

I really doubt the US would let a radical into the Iraqi gov't after all we have been through, and all that is at stake financially. I think we're in for more surprises. But who knows what is REALLY going on right? -
I think I'll just hold on to my Dinars. Investing what I have hasn't put me out financially, so if it takes decades, then I retire at 60, not 40. and if I lose it all, Oh well. It was a SPECULATIVE investment. More and more posts like this in the last month or so...hmmmmm.

Iraqi Shiite militia hints of Iran's hand in south

The idiots in govt better get their ducks in a row, and soon. -
Here is an article about Venezuela RDing their currency. Essentially removing three zeroes from the value of the larger bills, like Iraq has been saying for months. Venezuela is also an oil producing nation, so we can't use that as an excuse. I entered "Venezuela redenominates" and this is what I found. Makes you worry. I believe it will RV, but WHO knows what will happen. http://www.managementaccountant.in/2008/04/venezuela-redenominates-currency.html
