But, some don't treat the rumor section that way and are to quick to bash someone with questionable sounding information. After all, isn't that why it's called the "Rumor Section"? Nobody should have to start a post by saying "Please Don't Bash". However, that's the way it's been for quite a while. GO RV!!

I can relate to how you feel TimS! But, I feel this time around they really have to get this done. If not, they will be in jeopardy of failing to to meet the necessary requirements to be admitted into the folds of the international trading/banking community. Hold on to your faith, it's coming!!

Don't get too excited. Still selling IQD over the counter at 53 Bank (Atlanta). The only difference was none of the new lower denoms were available. The 25,000 notes could be bought but not the 500 and 1000. Nitrobuzz

Bubba, hang in there partner!! Whatever you do hang on to as much of your dinar as long as you can. This RV thing is about to wrap up. It has to!!!!! Once the budget is released the RV clock starts ticking. And the RV clock only has a few minutes left on it. So do what you have to do to get by for another couple of weeks. I will be saying a prayer for you and your family!!!

Your right BanG. There are those outstanding issues which need to be resolved before an RV. If this wasn't so we would have seen an RV already. As far as a 72 hour window, who knows. But, IMO this isn't kicking off before this weekend. Remember, the 1st and the 15th are the IMF RV dates. However, there is a stipulation to the IMF rules that allows a country to RV when they want (need) to. Iraq most probably qualifies. So it really could be at any time. Iraq "WILL" RV they "HAVE TO". If they don't the budget won't be worth the paper it was written on. I heard a rumor: Malaki and the cabinet are taking belly dancing lessons so they can perform for the Arab Summit. just in case they've been unable to balance the budget by then (no rv).

The Iraqi's have to RV. No way to make up the budget deficit without it, among other things. Remember, Maliki said himself that he would make up the difference with an improved currency rate! But, once again, they are on Iraqi time in the "Twilight Zone". So, what makes perfect sense to us is not the Iraqi way. We are reaching the end so stay patient and all will be well. When is the only question and I hope it's soon for all of us!
