ronscarpa
Saturday News Summaries and Commentaries by Aggiedad77 - 6/6/2015aggiedad77 at KTFA » June 6th, 2015Saturday News Summaries and CommentariesUS arms delivery to Iraq worth $ 1.6 billionWell $1.6 billion dollars in weapons agreed upon last year in the US is now finally leaving the US....obama said to be the cause of the slow shipment.....be careful of who your friends are.....some folks are just full of excuses....but at least the equipment is finally starting to flow.Iraq issued a smart card to the staff of the Directorate of Education MaysanMaysan Province Directorate of Education will be receiving smart cards for their staff as a form of salary payments....hey the important thing is they are to be paid it seems....a cashless society we become.....but safer since they won't need wheelbarrows to carry around for bread purchases now.....The government decided to send 600 billion dinars for the salaries of the staff of the region for the month of MayThis new math is killing me.....the Kurds supposed/allegedly exported at least 550,000 barrels of oil for May....the amount agreed upon for the 2015 budget.....why doesn't that entitle them to their 17% share of the budget money then....something around 1.2 trillion dinars....instead the "government" has "decided" they are only entitled to 600 billion dinars....roughly half of what the Kurds say they should get.....who is zooming who here.....push is starting to get to shove I think with the Kurds and they will only take so much.Parliamentary Finance: Issue 50 categories and 100 000 dinars than reducing demand for the dollarMore drivel from the Finance Committee on the printing/issuing of larger categories of currency.....totally crazy...at least to do what they claim.....that is...reduce the demand on the dollar....it doesn't work that way.....but then they can just turn around and blame the CBI when things don't go as the committee claims.....they are the resident experts at that game....at least the economic experts are agreeing with me.....they must be laughing at the committee members on a regular basis.DNO owed $700 Million for Iraqi Kurdistan oil export: analystOil companies working inside the Kurdistan region are performing but not getting paid.....DNO is said to be owed $700 million and outlooks of payments are bleak as most of Iraq's money is being funneled into the fight against DAASH at this time....but they expect the oil to keep flowing at the same time....even increase.....they forget the oil must be produced and production takes money.......without payments things could come to a halt soon....but priorities are priorities...and DAASH is a significant issue for the Iraqis today.Abadi participate Berlin summit of the countries of the seven adultsComing on the heels of the Paris summit that PM Abadi attended I find this bit of news to be of great importance....the G7 group snubs the nose of Russia for the meeting and invites Abadi and his Minister of Planning....how appropriate.....of course terrorism is likely to be a huge chunk of the discussion at the meeting and Iraq has the best first hand knowledge of the issues.....Abadi will also spend a bit of one on one time with obama while in Berlin and that outcome should prove to be interesting. The World Bank attributes the delayed projects for non-Iraqi province of the federal ministries coordinate with himMore delays, more excuses, more delays, more excuses.....what is new....the World Bank is claiming that delays in projects in the Maysan province are largely due to lack of coordination from federal ministries....the governor Maysan just wants money put into his accounts for construction so projects can get under way....especially road projects.Abadi did not want to be the cause of access to the point of no return with the KurdsPM Abadi does not want to the be one who pushes the Kurds over the line of no return where they completely and finally walk away from Baghdad.....Maliki for sure is the one who bought them the walking shoes they wear today....but Abadi doesn't want to retread the soles....President Masum is going to the Kurdistan this week to talk to President Barzani and deliver a message from Abadi.....wonder what that message will say....."we are sorry we've been too poor to make payments to you, but thanks for your oil export efforts"....maybe.....watch for more on this venture as the week progresses.Recess cut blocks negotiations on important laws .. and warning of deportation scenarioIt would seem the current recess is causing delays in further negotiations of key laws.....Federal Court Act, National Guard Act, Oil and Gas Law, Law of Parties to name a few...and there are claims that enough differences remain in some of them to keep them from being voted upon.....this could just be talk by some who are opposed to seeing any progress made....so don't get too alarmed by what you see or read at this point.IMF gives Iraq an exceptional financial assistanceNotice some of the terminology used here....."the Fund is "ready" to help"....."will lend".....not that they have handed this amount over to them yet.....we need to watch for further confirmation that this loan actually happens for them....and as was pointed out earlier this is just a drop in the bucket of what it takes to effectively run their budget.Virtue: central bank can compensate for the lack of incomeSomeone from the Virtue bloc is suggesting that the IMF loan is unnecessary....that in their opinion this money could come from the CBI and not affect reserves....whereas if the IMF is sought for the loan there are harsh consequences that can come with the loan repayment. So everyone seems to be scratching their heads on this loan issue....where does it take us....when does it end.....what will cause the button to be pushed.....who knows....certainly not I.....but there is one thing for sure, we have the patience to wait for the perfect timing that will bring favor to each of us in a mighty way.....Keep the Faith Always.....for the BEST is yet to come.
