From what I understand, the smaller denominations will not be called in as soon as the larger denominations. The Dinar may RV after all of the larger denominations have been turned in so if you have smaller denominations, they will not be asking to turn those in as fast as the 25k notes. That way, you can want for the Dinar to continue to increase before you cash in your smaller denoms.

There was another thread a few weeks back inquiring as to if Ali would exchange the larger denoms for smaller ones after the rv/ri....never saw the follow up answer for that though. I bought more yesterday and only 10k and 25k were listed on his site

Usually there is a notation that the 1000 and 5000 dinar notes are on backorder. Some assume that there will be a time limit to exchange the 25K and 10K notes after the revaluation which could force you to redeem prior to holding the dinars a complete year. While it is true that the 1k notes, assuming the reval is over $3.00USD, will amount to a value of $3000USD, three such notes will escape the reporting requirements of the banks toflag transactions over $10,000USD. Trading to stay "under the radar" can result in convictions for tax evasion if the bank reports a suspicious pattern of trading that seems to suggest possible money laundering.

The risk of that needs to be weighed but the more important issue with the 10s and 25s is that if there is a time limit, the owner can be forced to cash in before long term capital gains treatment is realizable. A short term capital gain (under a year) is treated like ordinary taxable income and for income over $250,000 you may get to share 39% in 2010 of your hard earned dinar dollars with the Obama Administration. Long term rates would only be around 15% and not treated as general income so plan on cashing in after holding 1 year for a more equitable long term treatment under capital gains. Also be sure to maintain records of purchase dates and amounts for what will be a highly likely IRS audit because they will be looking at the “new wealth” of dinar speculators.
