اكد رئيس اتحاد الغرف التجارية العراقية جعفر الحمداني اليوم الاربعاء على ان العراق سينضم قريبا الى اتحاد غرف دول التعاون الخليجي من خلال اجتماع رؤساء اتحاد دول التعاون الخليجي الذي سيعقد قريبا. The head of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce Jaafar al-Hamdani said Wednesday that Iraq is soon to join the Federation of GCC Chambers during a meeting of the heads of the Federation of GCC which will be held soon.

وقال الحمداني في تصريح لمراسل ( وكالة انباء الاعلام العراقي/واع ) انه سيتم خلال اجتماع الاتحاد المقبل تغيير اسمه من اتحاد غرف دول التعاون الخليجي الى اتحاد الغرف الخليجية ,لافتا الى ان الانقطاع الذي حدث في عام 1990 اسقط عضوية العراق من هذا الاتحاد لكنه عاد اليوم ليكون في الامانة العامة للمجلس ورئيسا في اعماله ,موضحا ان اعادة العراق الى هذا الاتحاد يعطيه امتيازا كبيرا في الاوساط الاقتصادية العالمية ويعمل على تشجيع الشركات الاستثمارية على الوصول الى العراق . Hamdani said in a statement to the reporter (and the Iraqi News Agency Information / INA) that he will be in Union meeting next change the name of the Federation of Chambers of the GCC to the Federation of GCC Chambers, pointing out that the drop that occurred in 1990 shot down Iraq's membership of this union, but returned today to be in the General Secretariat of the Council and the president in his works, pointing out that the reconstruction of Iraq to the Union gives him a huge advantage in the global economic circles and works to encourage investment companies to get into Iraq.

يذكر ان اسم الاتحاد قد حول من اتحاد الغرف التجارية الخليجية الى اتحاد غرف مجلس التعاون الخليجي بعد اسقاط عضوية العراق من قبل الاتحاد في عام 1990 . The name of the Union has been around from the Federation of GCC Chambers of Commerce and the Federation of Chambers of the Gulf Cooperation Council after the toppling of Iraq's membership by the Federation in 1990.

Item 6) of paragraph 3. is telling you something.

6)encouraging coordination among GCC countries regarding their monetary policies which should culminate in having one GCC currency.

These are the big boys in the region; Saudi, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, etc.... they ain't gonna let iraq sit at the table if they plan on ante-ing up with tp.

I would think that a country could not possibly join a trade union unless it has a tradeable currency. Very interesting. Great find jpr
