k98nights Posted November 23, 2010 Report Share Posted November 23, 2010 PM discusses with UN officials missing Kuwaitis file November 23, 2010 - 09:42:24 BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki discussed on Tuesday with UN officials the missing Kuwaitis in Iraq file, asserting that Iraq is ready to solve the issue, according to a statement from al-Maliki’s office. “Al-Maliki received the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Iraq (SRSG), Ad Melkert, and UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Coordinator for Iraq/Kuwait Missing Persons and Property. Gennady Tarasov, with whom he discussed the missing Kuwaitis issue, asserting that Iraq is ready to solve all pending issue with Kuwait,” said the statement received by Aswat al-Iraq news agency. “Iraq is ready to do whatever it takes and to investigate all available information, which could lead to the missing Kuwaitis’ remains,” the statement quoted the premier as saying.
