apilot Posted September 27, 2010 Report Share Posted September 27, 2010 I have hoped for some time that Sistani would get involved and use his high religous office to nudge the parties to a solution and form a government. Like that Allawi contacted him. IMO best bet is that Mahadi gets selected and Sastani's support gives enough "cover" so defectors can leave Maliki to get to the majority needed to form.
