umbertino
"Glengarry Glen Ross" (great movie starring Alec Baldwin, Alan Arkin, Jack Lemmon, Al Pacino, Kevin Spacey, Ed Harris and UK Jonathan Pryce) soundtrack Most likely his jazziest song ( along with his "Take Five" rendition)...Composed by Irving Berlin in 1926 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jarreau Drummer Peter Erskine youtube comment on "Blue Skies": We recorded this "live" — as in all together at the same time — without much warning (as to the tempo!). That's John Patitucci holding it all together on the bass. Al Jarreau was magnificent. And while Wayne Shorter's tenor adorns most of the film soundtrack (as well as Jeff Porcaro's and Larry Bunker's drumming — Jeff, with typical modesty, told me that he asked Larry to play some of the brush cues), this is Bob Sheppard playing saxophone on "Blue Skies" (I'm playing on this, along with Russ Ferrante on piano...). Good memories of a short session, this was the first and only take. The film uses the bass and drums from this take during the scene where the safe break-in is discovered the next morning... Peter Erskine is a great drummer who collaborated with many musicians and rec'd at least an album with Weather Report
