US President Donald Trump said yesterday, Monday, that his country will remove Sudan from the list of state sponsors of terrorism after his government pays $ 335 million for “American victims of terrorism,” while Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council in Sudan, expressed his great appreciation and appreciation The Sudanese nation of President Trump and the US administration for taking this constructive step.

Trump wrote in a tweet: “The new government in Sudan, which is making great progress, has agreed to pay $ 335 million to American victims of terrorism and their families. Once the payment is made, I will remove Sudan from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism. After a long wait, justice has been served to the American people, and Sudan has taken a big step.

Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan, expressed his great appreciation and appreciation of the Sudanese nation to President Trump and the American administration for taking this constructive step to remove the name of Sudan from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism, in which the great appreciation for the historical change that occurred in Sudan and the struggle and sacrifices Sudanese people for freedom, peace and justice.

In turn, Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok expressed his heartfelt thanks to President Trump for his aspiration to cancel Sudan's designation as a state sponsor of terrorism.

Hamdok said that the classification of Sudan cost him and seriously harm it, and we very much look forward to President Trump's official notification to Congress, considering Trump's tweet and notification to Congress the strongest support for the transition towards democracy in Sudan and for the Sudanese people.

Today, he added, we are approaching the disposal of the heaviest legacy of the dictatorial regime, and we stress once again that the Sudanese people are a peace-loving people and have never been a supporter of terrorism.

In addition, the transitional government presented, on Monday, three proposals to the International Criminal Court to deal with those accused of crimes committed in the Darfur region, western Sudan, headed by the ousted President Omar Al-Bashir.

Sources said that the three options are a hybrid court, while the second option is the appearance of the accused before the International Criminal Court, or the third option is to establish a special court in Sudan.

The government and representatives of the International Criminal Court have not yet agreed on the mechanism to be used to prosecute those wanted.

Nevertheless, the chief prosecutor of the International Tribunal, Fatou Bensouda, said that the meeting with Sudanese officials about the trial of the accused was fruitful and constructive.

Bensouda had met yesterday with civil society organizations to talk about the upcoming cooperation between them and the court.

Agreement on non-impunity

Attorney General Taj Al-Sir Al-Habr said it was agreed that there was no impunity. As for the Minister of Justice, Nasruddin Abdel Bari, he said that Khartoum is ready to cooperate with the court in accordance with the options in the criminal law.

He added that he agreed with Bensouda to continue the discussion and reach a common vision, according to the vision of the government and the families of the victims.

Hamdok: We support freedom of thought and religions

On the other hand, Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdok announced that his government is working to establish the concept of Sudan, a homeland that accommodates everyone, to embody freedom of thought and support the freedoms of religions recognized by the United Nations.

Addressing the opening session of the Conference on Religious Freedom and Peaceful Coexistence Dialogue organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments, in cooperation with the United Nations Development Program, Hamdok said yesterday that Sudan is a multi-country country in every detail of its geographical, ethnic and religious vocabulary. He added, "The peace that we signed during the past few days in Juba is a wish for all Sudanese."

He expressed his hope that all parts of Sudan, especially its east, would prevail, so that all would enjoy stability.

Farah calls to kill evil and banish terrorists

The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Nasreddin Mufreh said, that the biggest challenges after the revolution is the establishment of religious freedoms and the etiquette of coexistence, and called for cooperation in killing evil and banishing terrorists.

And the provisional Legislative Council approved the night before yesterday, Sunday, to harmonize the peace agreement with the constitutional document by making amendments to the latter.

Adding 3 seats for "Sovereign"

A statement by the Sovereignty Council clarified that it authorized "adding three seats to the sovereign council, thus making it composed of 14 members."

The joint meeting referred to a new article in the constitutional document, Article 80, regarding the establishment of the Transitional Partners Council.

The newly created council consists of the Freedom and Change Alliance and the forces that signed the peace agreement, in addition to the military component of the Sovereignty Council.
