BAGHDAD - One civilian was killed and seven more were wounded in two explosions in western Baghdad, a police source said on Thursday. BAGHDAD - Three civilians were wounded in a bomb blast in western Baghdad, the third in the Iraqi capital in less than hour, a police source said on Thursday. ANBAR - One civilian was killed on Thursday in a sticky bomb explosion in eastern Falluja, according to a security source. DIALA - Three family members were wounded on Thursday by roadside bomb blast in north of Baaquba, a police source said. THI-QAR - Anti-explosives team managed on Thursday to defuse a bomb that targeted the house of a former local official in northern Nassiriya, according to a security source. ANBAR - Two policemen were wounded on Thursday in an explosive charge blast in western Anbar, a source from the Anbar Operations Command said. ANBAR - Four gunmen wearing explosive belts were arrested in Heit in western Anbar on Thursday, according to Anbar police chief. *Economy: BAGHDAD - The grain production in Iraq this season is exceptional as a total of 1.6 million tons have been marketed, according to the general director of the state-owned seed company. BASRA - A total of 17 commercial ships have arrived in Iraqi ports in Basra province this week, the public relations and media director at the State Company for Iraqi Ports said on Thursday. *Sports: BAGHDAD - The Iraqi national team will face Palestine and Yemen in the Group C in the 6th West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) Championship, according to the lot which took place on Thursday. *Features: BAGHDAD - Two political analysts said that the National Alliance will agree on nominating Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki for a second term in office under conditions that will limit his power, while another analyst considered a coalition between al-Iraqiya and Dawlat al-Qanoon (State of Law) to be most likely.
