k98nights Posted June 20, 2010 Report Share Posted June 20, 2010 Kurdistan parliament debates terror combat draft June 20, 2010 - 02:52:26 ARBIL / Aswat al-Iraq: The Iraqi Kurdistan Region’s parliament debated several important drafts laws including ones on terror combat and formation of an anti-corruption agency, according to the parliament’s media advisor on Sunday. “The project on combating terrorism in the Iraqi Kurdistan region was important because the current law will expire on July 16 and the parliament needs to decided whether the situation in the region would require the continuation of this law,” Tareq Jawhar told Aswat al-Iraq news agency. “Another draft law on the founding of an anti-corruption agency in Kurdistan was also debated and referred to the relevant committee for endorsement,” he added. Jawhar noted that other debated drafts including the unification of the law on ministries and the final account provided by the region’s finance ministry.
