I contacted HSBC and told them i had 10million iraqi dinar and asked

them if i could cash them in at one of their branches when it revalues.

This is the reply i got.

"Dear John

Thank you for contacting HSBC Bank USA, N.A., the world's local bank.

At this time, HSBC Bank USA, N.A. is not participating with the exchange of Iraqi Dinars.

For additional information on the products and services HSBC Bank offers, please

visit us at us.hsbc.com

Sincerely,

Anyone who says they have been given intel about the dinar from a bank are either

lying,or they have been given false information,HSBC have a branch in iraq so if they

don't know anything about the dinar neither does any other bank.

I personal went into the Regency bank in the galveston/houston area as was told they are prepared for the RV, and that they had all the proper documentations/forms. And they would only do business will account holders. So we need to be careful when it is suggested that others are lying.

thank you,

I have been in constatnt touch with my BOA branch as well as BOA International banking. The "stock" answer has been they do not transact IRAQI Dinar. However, they detailed the proicess for redemption at their branches and left me with the confidnece that they will deal in Dinar at the right time.

Bull Dog the same instinct that you are using implying your bankers advice is correct and ours wrong. Is the same instinct/judgment others have including myself, when our bankers have told us just the opposite to what you are saying. It is not important that you own up to what you said when suggesting we were liar. What is important that all of us should be very careful when posting. Once words are spoken they can't be taken back however, in our case our words are permanent on this web page for all to read and re-read.

thank you,

my bank just looks at me like i'm retarded :(:( of course i am in mississippi

I just had lunch with two simi-top VP's from BB&T (5th largest USA)on this matter. Didn't have a clue!! I gave the rumor/info I get in here and that I held 10 mil. I'm deep S. Fl. past Miami ok! The responce was NO **** you got 10. they then said something in Cuban/Spanish about their currency dept. MY ADVICE is to prep your personal bank on what you want to do. Make an appointment with "Wealth Management" Dept. ASAP if you believe...???

This is my actual first post as I am one who mostly observes/reads.

I spoke to the Bank of America in my area being in Oklahoma. I advised that I had IQD and would at some point want to open an account exchanging the currency into USD. They told me that this was not a problem but that they would only except IQD in paper bills and would not except any IQD in coin.

I think that it's not an issue yet because they can't deal with dinar. It's not a tradeable currency and it hasn't been discussed. But I believe when this RV's and it is a tradeable currency that everyone will do a 180 and of course they can exchange your dinar. How many million do you have?

I talked to my credit union here in Wisconsin and they charge $8for a fee no matter the amount. We talked about an r/v and what to expect.. She told me they verify in office and deposit immediatly.. No wait period. She did not know about an rv but she k ew about the dinar. My hopes are up... Staying positive

NOBODY at a bank retail level is going to have information to share with you regarding this investment. NOBODY PERIOD. Thats like asking the kid in the iphone store what verizons stock is going to do next quarter? Seriously. I read this stuff and how peeps got into this to begin with. Do your research and read what others have provided and wait. Just like every INVESTMENT on this planet.

yawn another "my banker said" story. if the 10 million dinar are for sale since the holder thinkers they made a "bad" deal, then i am sure there are many on here who will gladly relieve him/her of those dinar that weigh so heavily in his or her pocket.

first of all that is not reasonable in that maybe a thousand people would then call that branch. also that poor soul that relayed the info would probably be fired. i have a relative that was told something by a banker and i won't relay one bit of it or the name of the bank for those reasons.

whereas a banker at one of my banks asked me how to spell dinar. i didn't take that as a sign that i made a bad investment but that this was a poorly informed banker. that was about it.

we are just stating that there are banks out there dealing in dinar..and there fee for exchange..not they they have r/v info to share..its just nice to hear banks are dealing in dinar, so that hen it does r/v , we have somewhere to go. I called Chase..and the other big banks..they DO NOT deal in r/v at this time..BUT my credit union does...this is good info to know!!!!!!!!!!
